Im currently typing this with 1:29 to go in the 4th quarter... the raps are currently up by 14 and it looks like they mite actually pull of a win here.. Woods has a double double and vince carter was almost a nonfactor besides in the 4th so far. Bosh is also having a good game. the bench was amazing for the raptors especailly Palacio.. yes palacio. all the starters are in double figures. matt bonnner had a dunk.
toronto wins!!! i cant believe it.. im feeling so good about this raptor team, what yall think? FINAL SCORE:Raps 101 Pistons 89
Great game. Woods with a monster game again. Carter took over late which was a good thing since he struggled for most of the game. The bench was nothing short of fantastic. They played so well, and gave the starters extra rest, and Bosh looks great so far. I'm gonna stress this time and time again, but Bosh looks so much like Garnett. The backbone of this team will be INJURIES. If they can stay healthy, they are a lock for the playoffs.
Lets go Rappppppppppps, man i'm hyped, i been arguing with my teammates in school that The Raps have a great team and will win many games, and beating detroit proves it, even though its a little too ealry to tell. Raps all the way. by the way anyone know where i can watch highlights of this game and the first game, thnx in advance.
Great game for the raps, and another great performance by woods. Bosh looks great and played well. Vince didnt score much but had a pretty decent all round game with 5 assists and 8 rebounds. But Great win for the raps.
yeah baby yeah!!!! What a game!! Bosh and Woods with great performances. Vince took over in the fourth. Solid bench contributions from Milt and Mo. Man, where's the respect!!??!? In the words of Loren Woods ... I told ya!!
Whaaaaa! Woods, 17 and 14. Sick. I just hoped Carter doesn't perform like this against the rest of the other opponents defensive stoppers. Oh Well, we knocked off the defending Champs
Whoa, maybe the Raptors are for real this year. I was playing basketball at the community center and missed the game. Was Woods scoring mostly on set plays or put backs off offensive rebounds? I'd like to know whether he could do well as a low-post scoring threat, or if he is a player like Sam Dalembert who scores off put backs.

He looked really good out there.
Whooaa this game was sick I have to admit I had my doubts as I thought the Pistons will pull it off but no! The Raps won and won by a large margin! (12 points) Great game for Loren Woods, Chris Bosh and everybody from bench. Even though Carter only only scored 12 points he did what great players do when they struggle on shooting: he kept his teammates involved, dishing out 5 asts, kept second chances alive by pulling down boards, and last but not least he kept shooting until he got those three shots in in the fourth quarter. Man my heart's still racing
oh and dang Woods pulled all that off in just 28 minutes of playing time! 17 pts 14 rbs to go along with 1 block!
What did i tell everyone. I saw the raps in the preseason. I know it doesn't mean much, but the thing i knew was going to be a constant was the uptempo style. And I know this team will succeed. With this win, look for them to go on a big winning streak.
Wow, this is great. I'm lovin Sam Mitchell right now. And Bosh is taking over the reigns. Loren Woods= underrated. But the X-Factor of this team= Rafer Alston. I'm glad all the scoring load isn't on Vince anymore. Who woulda thought that the Raptors could beat the defending champs by 12 points with Vince only scoring 12? I like the fact that he doesn't need to score huge points in order for the Raptors to be sucessful. He can concentrate more on playmaking and running the break. But when we need him in the 4th, he's always there. Kudos to the Raptors, they needed this victory. On we go to the Portland Trailblazers.
I waws at the game, andt the start of thge game was disappointing, but the Raptors never gave up, and just kept grinding and we got our lead back. Good game, but Palacio should stop killing our clock *rolls eyes,* and as always, Vince needs to cut to the whole. BTW, Loren woods and Matt Bonner are the truth!
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting nkwu:</div><div class="quote_post">Good game, but Palacio should stop killing our clock *rolls eyes,*</div>Hey don't be so harsh on Palacio tonight. Although he was making the same mistakes he usually makes, he was one of the main reasons why our bench was so productive. He provided dribble penetration that kept the Piston defense in check and had some nice dishes. In 16 minutes he put up 9/2/4 with 4 free throw attempts and that ain't bad at all. Although I was critical of him before, after seeing last game against Houston, I think he can fit in with this style of play. I just hope he can improve on all the other areas because it's pretty frustrating watching him at times. As for the game, well I'm still in complete shock. Loren Woods with yet another solid game posting 17/14 and the bench really came through (especially against the deep Piston bench). Bonner and Murray with those monster putbacks was just so surprising that I couldn't help laughing for a bit. Most importantly though, we played great team ball. Everyone contributed and you could just see that they have great chemistry out there. But although we played absolutely great, we still can't get too excited because it's only been two games. When team scouts pick up on our game, then that's when the real competition begins.
guys only 15284 at the game, which is pathetic since the pistons are world champs? and btw, anybody catch jalen's temper tantrum at the end of the game? i think he was displeased about getting only 8 shots in spite of his early success. i loved jalen when he first got here but i'm slowly realizing this dude could careless about the team. and as for mitchell response of taking him out of the game with 6 seconds left so the crowd got give him an ovation indicated to me this dude is brilliant, particularly in managing ego's. anyways, jalen's infantilism might deter from raptors success, remember jordan accused him of corrupting the young (read Socrates for that reference). jordan said he was a bad influence on chicago's young players and i hope on a potentially winning team he doesn't tamper with impressionable young players like mo pete and loren (our first legit center) woods and rafer's kiss to the ref was classic, i love that dude.

wow...very impressive win i dont think we can expect this kind of play from woods on a nightly basis, but 2 good games in a row, its safe to assume he was a decent signing. i love the style of ball that the raps are playing. total team effort. unselfish play from everyone. im becomming a huge fan of coach mitchell. cant wait for the next game oh yea...and BOSH!! god DAMN! hes lookin good. very assertive on the offensive end of the floor, and playing good D as well. if bosh keeps playing this way, he'll be an all-star
this loren woods guy has really impressed me in both games against houston and against the pistons. When he played houston i thought it was just like spur of the moment how he defended yao. but he impressed me and played big again against the pistons the very next game. things to think abaout though. Yao has problems playing against snaller centers because of there quickness. and the pistons were without coach larry brown due to personal issues. all in all great start for the raps it was good to see carter drive down the lane and not shy away form contact.
