Ok its been 3 games into the season, and Yao is yet to show signs of his potential.

Do you think it would be wise to officially shift our offensive pressure onto T-Mac? There's no question that he'll produce, but what will that do to the rest of the team?

We could turn into some hybrid of the Old Magic and Knicks. Both teams couldn't make the playoffs, so do you think that it would be wise to base our offense around T-Mac?

He did alot of creating in our first win of the season (against the Griz) and he also got 9 assists. Infact, he would actually make a good PG. Only problewm is that we already had a scoring PG in Francis, and it could just all be the same again. Anyways, hows this for a lineup?

    C Yao
    PF Taylor
    SF Howard
    SG Jackson
    PG McGrady

Theres been an argument of a lack of size in our team? this is a pretty big starting lineup. Not to mention T-Mac could dictate the game. He's a good passer, and could easily create. He can also take on the best perimeter defenders in the NBA who are often an PG positions.

The only problem with this strategy is that JVG would never go for it. Maybe we should fire him.

    Thoughts?

First off, having both Taylor and Howard starting would really weaken our bench. Besides, Howard is too slow to guard quick small forwards. Having McGrady as the point guard would really increase the pressure placed on him. Besides being our main scorer, McGrady would have to be our main ballhandler too. Although he might be able to take it, I won't really like to see it.

About firing Van Gundy, I'd say a strong and defiant NO. Although his offense is too complicated and is not doing well with our team right now, I'm sure that Van Gundy will realize that letting our guys play their natural ways will be the best for us. And besides, this season was never really supposed to be one where we contended for the title; this season should be a learning process, and it jolly well is.

Why do you people keep saying FIRE JVG? ITS 2 FREAKIN GAMES! We just BEAT MEMPHIS! Isn't that a plus? Yao hasn't played really much at all today...too many fouls. I hope he can keep those down so we can show our true strength.

Yes we beat memphis, but not through JVG's strategy.
I guess I have to give Van Gundy credit for taking us to the playoff last year. But he has to ease up on his offensive strategies.

I guess that Trip is totally right that with the lineup i proposed, our bench would be weak.

If JVG stays, then I think we need an assistant coach with a good offensive mind.

If we keep playing like we did in the first 2 games CD might actually go out and find one.

If we actually did who do you think we would be able to get a hand on?
Are there any good offensive assistants out there?

Sorry son't know much about assistant coaches. What about Don Nelson's son or nephew or whoever he is?
