Man, it's only the first week and already people are calling for coaching changes and trades. Howard usually has a solid jumper from around 10-15 feet, he's just been struggling a bit with it. It will come in time, and I think he's a nice player to have coming off the bench.

The real surprise bench player for me has been Mutombo. Did anyone expect him to be playing this well? That was a great pick up. Hopefully, he can stay healthy throughout the year.

I also am surprised at how well the Rockets are shooting the three pointer so far. They were heinous from behind the line in the preseason, but they found their stroke in the games that count. Good to see.

Well gg by Yao , maybe he does better against bigger centers like Ostertag and less effective against smaller quicker centers. Great WIN ..it's the first time we see effectiveness from both yao and tmac =) ..that's what we always wanted. I don't think we should trade mo taylor for a defender because we'll have no more attacking options..the options are already thin with mo taylor..he had a bad game today..but the past 2 games he had good numbers. Juwan on the other hand..had to force a lot of shots due to poor plays

I think that's a big part of it. Some may remember last year when Edward Najera from the Maveraks absolutely shut down Yao, just by being a pest. Another factor is that Sacremento simply doesn't guard post players very well. Duncan and Nowitski both had 30 point games against them this year, and now add Yao to that list.

Hopefully, the Rockets as a team did something differently tonight that allowed Yao to get so many good shots, and they can get Yao those shots on a consistent basis.

Great game last night......there's no way we should trade Mo Taylor I've always been a fan of his.....he's another scoring threat that we can't let go.........the Rockets should even have a better shooting team once we get Bob Sura healthy........the rockets are going to be alright this year!!!

This was a great example of how our games should look like in the future. Yao Ming leading us in scoring and T-Mac getting over 20 as well. As for trading Mo Taylor, I'm beginning to doubt it. IMO, he played well in the Kings game, crashing the offensive boards and hustling on defense. It seems that he's the only player willing to take a charge.

weatherspoon is a defensive/rebounding PF, he gets in more at center than PF, he needs to get in hes a great role player.

Thing is, Spoon is undersized to play center, although he does anyways. Right now, Mutombo and Howard off the bench should be sufficient, although Spoon will play big minutes if one of them gets injured.

I dont remember much or Weatherspoons days with the knicks. All I know is that he made the All-Star team (? once i believe) and he was a good offensive player, not the liability that he is now. Hes a small center and a true power forward. When the rockets go up against a offensive power forward hes the guy we need to put in to shut him down.
