oh god, this guy just sucks. mutombo should start over him. he is like the worst on the team. t-mac did not come here to play with mutombo, he wanted to play with the second best center in the nba rite now. atleast mutombo dont let people dunk on him.yao gets dunk on evertime someone gets in the paint. since Nene is not happy in denver, i say that the rockets should trade him for Nene.

Maybe a little harsh, you think? Yao is hurt at the moment...and I believe he'll do well later on in the season, when he heals up.

And for your information...it's a bad idea to come into another team's forum and criticizing their franchise player, especially if you're a Laker fan (or any fan, for that matter). Just a tip.

Are you just trolling, or are you actually being serious? Yao isn't a great defensive player, and he's certainly not in Dikembe's league. But he's one of the best low post players in the game -- probably top 5. And he has the potential to be a 20-10 player. He's had 3 bad games, but I still expect his performance this year to be better than last year. He needs to play smarter, and his team needs to run the right plays to get him the ball at the right spots.

Again, I can't stand how impatient people have become. Yao Ming had a 18/9 season last year, and nobody really gave him any props for it. Yao Ming had 3 bad games this year, and everybody's trying to knock him down. Irrational, isn't it? And as for Nene, Yao can be traded for Jermaine O'Neal if we want to trade him. His trade value is still tremendous.

Wow... your'e either really <strike>stupid or blind</strike>. Yao may not be as great as people expected him to be right off the bat but you have to remember that he is stil young and has some maturing to do...

I think considering Yao is entering his third season there are some good points made by hungi1115. Will the real Yao please step up and toughen up? He's still the second best center in the NBA, and soon will overtake Shaq's crown as the best but he's gotta start going aggressive already. This is his offense to run, the coach gives him the green light to take all those shots, and McGrady is willing to defer to him. It left T-Mac no choice in the very last game but to revert himself to his oldself in Orlando and be a scoring maniac again to lead his team to wins. But if Houston keeps relying on T-Mac to provide most of the scoring, the Rockets are not going to be very successful... Yao has gotta find a way to reassert himself in the O and start jelling already. They may still be another 79 games, but time flies faster than you think.

What good points have been made by hungi1115? Please, I don't see any of them.

Yao came off a good improved season last year and he started this year with a mildly injured elbow and a whole new roster pretty much. It's like he basically just got traded and needs to adjust to his teammates again (all 9 or 10 of them).

Give it a rest, it's only been 3 games for Yao to adjust to 9 new teammates and a superstar in McGrady.

It's the fact that Yao's struggling the first three games. Okay he may be injured and all that but the bottom line is his production is greatly affected because of it. The good news is he read this thread, got pissed, came out and busted for 33 pts and 17 rebounds in an OT victory against the Kings tonight. [IMG] This is what we are talking about Yao, you took constructive criticisms better than your fans. :P

12 rebounds, but yes he had a good game today. Shaq-esque, even in the freethrow department. [IMG]

Yeah carmelo had a great game today..it's quite possible to shoot 20 shots and make 3 only..why don't you start bashing the kid since it's his fault that they lost that game..that's quite a funny statistic because i can guarantee that yao or tmac won't be selfish enough to shoot 20 times if he misses 8-10 straight shots. at that amount of shots i bet carmelo can compete with tmac for the scoring title this year [IMG]

You said we should trade Yao for Nene and Boykins. Are you sticking with that?

Yao isn't going to have 3/4 of his games be bad nights. I can guarantee that. And its silly to evaluate any player's trade value based on the first few games of a season when the team is still figuring eachother out.

What does Yao have to do with Carmelo? I was just offering my opinions and said that hungi1115 made a point on Yao, although yeah he could have been more soft-spoken. Remember, this thread is about Yao not about Carmelo. And I am not going to defend Carmelo either with that 3-20 shooting performance. That sucked. Something is going through that kid's head. Carmelo had to be selfish for us to win the game... with Voshon out for the season and our outside shooting being so horrible, Melo felt like he had to step up and take that role, an outside threat. Unfortunately for him, his team, and the fans, most of those shots didn't go down. But Melo will bounce back, this kid is too good to let anything like this put him down.

Once Yao heals up, he'll be consistent. The numbers he posted the other day were already impressive, but give him some time to heal. Hopefully, he'll come out of it more aggressive, and display a tougher side to him (although I can't see Yao Ming being too aggressive, let alone displaying anger or emotions like Garnett or someone).

Because of the responses that this thread has received, I will be forced to lock it up so that there won't be any more insults. You guys have to argue with facts to back your claims up, not insults.
