"Dick Vitale's assertion that Iguodala's early entry was a mistake has proved to be wrong. Iguodala, who promised his mother he would finish his degree, is the reason injured former All-Star Glenn Robinson will come off the bench." Link: http://www.azcentral.com/sports/suns/artic...sunsnb1106.html
Vitale is wrong about a lot of NBA players, so there's not much new there. He's entertaining as a college commentator, but they should never invite him to the draft. Heck, maybe his approval is be like the Sports Illustrated cover curse, it gets you too much hype and you end up being a rotten player.
well, as one of you guys knows, i was never a fan of the sixers grabbing AI. But he's looked pretty good at times. we'll see after about 20 games where he's at and what he's really all about
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">5. Andre Iguodala, F, Philadelphia (No. 9) Stats: 9.0 PPG, 4.7 RPG, 1.7 APG Upcoming: at N.Y. (11/9), vs. N.J. (11/10), vs. Ind. (11/12), vs. Orl. (11/14) Breakdown: Iguodala's athleticism and finishing flair have propelled him into the Sixers' starting lineup. His defense and shooting should keep him there.</div> I remember when he couldn't shoot, he's not taking many three's, but he's shown he's capable of hitting the 3 which is very nice. Some people didn't belive the reports back in draft camp that his outside shot has improved, but it definately has. Now he's not a shooter, but I just found it funny that they said his shooting will keep him in the lineup, go Iggy!
lol...that's why i was skeptical of the sixers taking him. all i had heard coming out of college was how he can fill a stat sheet with rebounds, assists etc... but that he can't shoot. at first i was thinking, why the hell would the sixers take someone who can't shoot the friggin ball, we already have one slasher in A.I. But it seems to be working out ok so far, so we'll see
