Keys to the Game

Detroit Pistons:
The pistona re going to have to make Allen Iverson shoot from the outside,if he gets pentration, that means the Pistons will likely get in foul trouble if Allen gets to the rack often. The Pistons need to take advantage inside and out on offense,Sixers perimeter defense is very weak, and with Dalembert out there is not a player who can block shots.

Philadelphia Sixers:
The Sixers biggest weakness right now is perimeter defense, the Suns lit them up from the perimeter and the Sixers diffently need to work on that. The Sixers also need to keep Big Ben and Rasheed Wallace off the ofensive glass,Samuel Dalembert will not be playing so they will be short handed when it comes to rebounding.

My Predictions

If the Sixers play the right way,and play perimeter defense a lot better they could suprise a lot of people.I did this preview late and as we speak Allen Iverson has 15 points in first quarter,if he plays like this the Sixers have a chance in this game.

The Pistons are coming off a dissapointing loss to the Raptors,so they will likely be hungry for a win.If they can hold Allen Iverson supporting cast then I expect them to become victorius.

Bleh, another loss. This sucks. Feels like the same old team.

The Sixers as a team played really bad,but Allen had a brilliant game. The rest of the starters shot badly and they didnt show up against the Pistons. The Sixers did doa better job at taking care of the balll, but their perimeter defense still looks sorry.

At this point I honestly think we are missing Glenn Robinson,he is player hwo is just going to score, and last night nobdy was shooting good and scoring(except Allen).

I agree. As much as a pig he was on the defensive end he could score, and shoot. I think when we are playing the tougher compition, such as the Pistons, Pacers, and Heat we will miss him even more. We better get a replacment for him soon, cause we are looking bad.

Actually, it was not that bad of game as you might think. We only got 11 turnovers, which is really good for us because we haven?t been able to take care of the ball so that?s a sign for good things. However, our biggest problem was our low post presence and perimeter shooting. The whole starting lineup with the exception of Iverson played very poorly. This is primarily the reason why O'Brien philosophy wouldn?t be so great after all because our guys can?t knock down perimeter shots consistently. And no matter how much some of us despise Robinson or how bad his defense is, that game showed how much we really may need him.

McKie out of all people should have step up but he didn't show up to play nor in the previous two games. Willie Green was doing ok, but his shot wasn?t falling. As for our big men, forget about it, they had a VERY hard time with the Wallace?s X2.

What I think could have maybe help us win the game is feeding the ball to Iverson. I remember O'Brien saying something to the sense of "Give Iverson the ball and clear the way", well I for one believe Iverson should have take that to heart that night and shot the ball till he dropped. Nobody was really doing a good job of anything except for Iverson. So that?s why I think he should have just shoot the ball all game long because his shot was looking very impressive that night. I say that he was easily heading into a 50 Point night which would help because Iverson alone outscored the starting lineup by 1 point.

But looking at Erin comments about us still being the old team, well don't worry about it. We're very early in the season and believe it or not we're still a work in progress as far as learning O'Brien system. And don't forget we were playing the defending NBA Champions the Detroit Pistons, but that?s still not much of an excuse if we want to be a great team. So I say that there is nothing to worry about and just let things ride and eventually we will be the team that we hoped to be. And fortunately for us all the teams in the Atlantic Division with the exception of the Raptors are struggling, so that?s a good thing.

Go Sixers.

^^ Agreed very much so. Especially during that Phoenix game. That's the reason they lost.
