Nice win by our Lakers last night. Even though the win was provided by the worst team in the league, the Atlanta Hawks, the Lakers pretty much improved on their mistakes from the San Antonio loss, and made those into positives last night. The best qualities that I saw coming out of last night's performance was Kobe. as we all witnessed on the boxscores, did anybody see how many players scored in double figures and actually contributed in offense? We had our leading scorer Kobe with 24 points, Caron Butler pitching in with 22, Mihm with 19, and Lamar Odom with 11. Kobe may be the focal point of this newly constructed Laker offense, but if he can also be a playmaker, and not try to do too much on his own like he typically does, and gets everybody involved on offense and contributing for 48 minutes total, we'll win ballgames and the production showed last night.

I especially liked our rebounding and defense schemes in the paint. Lamar Odom picked a fair share of boards with eleven, and Chris Mihm made it tough on the Atlanta frontcourt with four blocks. Once again, I know it was against the Atlanta Hawks, and I also understand we are short of players, but if Chris Mihm and Lamar Odom can have games where they consistently crash the boards, plug up the middle, seal up all passing lanes, and make things excruciatingly tough for opposing players, we have no excuse to lose ballgames. I'll take this win in stride, but it won't get any easier as we head into a four game road trip.

i know that he is very young player and that he can't play now very much but i think that he show all lakers fans that he have great potencial a can become very good player</div>

i agree. i have heard a lot about sasha in his summer league performance. if he develops his strength and defense then he could be a starter for next season. his shot and passing is there, all he has to do is to develop his confidence on the court.
