I was just wondering if he were to egt the buy out and would sign for another team with a minimum salar as he is stating wouldnt it be good if we were to aquire him any toughts? Or maybe we can include a deal involving Brian Grant so we could get rid of his contract. LINK-http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/story/249640p-213784c.html
Well, I'd love to have Alonzo Mourning in purple and gold...he's my second favorite center in the game right now...but you also have to think about who we'd have to get rid of. Because...we still have to make room for Malone in January...so that means waiving ANOTHER guy after this one...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TheNextJordan8:</div><div class="quote_post">A trade perhaps?</div> Well, if it involves Devean George, I'm happy no matter who we get.
Exactly maybe a huge trade ivolving Jason Kidd u never know Jason kidd will be happy alonzo well be happy the lakers will be happy just might be the thing, all the pieces fit.

Would get us a good center and get rid of a overpaid player and a player who is injured and ok. The salaries would matche, Grant at 13 mill and george at what like 3-4, 17 matches up. It would be a great trade.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AllNet:</div><div class="quote_post">Zo wants to go to a CONTENDER, he won't even consider the lakers.</div> And since when do you think for Zo?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AllNet:</div><div class="quote_post">Zo wants to go to a CONTENDER, he won't even consider the lakers.</div> How do you know, the only problem with the Lakers is lack on interrior presence, with Zo, Mihm, Divac, and Malone(if he returns which looks likely) than we would fill that void filling in our biggest problem. We would have depth at both position, move Odom down to sf where he should be and have Butler back him up OR have Butler play sg and Kobe play point. That sounds like a title contending team.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Kobe 8 Ball:</div><div class="quote_post">And since when do you think for Zo?</div> You don't need to think for Zo when he's made It pretty obvious he wants to be bought out so he can help a team close to a championship get that ring. Miami is a team he wants to go to. Which will likely happen if both Zo and the Nets agree to the buy out.
we cant rebound is our main issue we made stops down the stretch but the spurs got 2-3 chances and scored

The Lakers may not be a contender as the young season so far suggested but why wouldn't he at least consider playing alongside the most dominant shooting guard in the L?

Although It wouldn't be that bad as Rasho does need rest from time to time. Zo also has a connection in Miami as all long time basketball fans would know. It's his home. Kobe is the best shooting guard in the league (argueble) but he is far more dominant.
Alonzo more than likely would cringe at going back to Miami because of his past there. It wasn't too pretty with the organization.
^ (To AllNet) Well, I agree with you that Miami is his home but dude's gotta make up his mind, which is his priority? Home or contender? If home, Miami. If contender, Spurs or Pistons and he can sit down, play a little backup to Rasho or Ben or be a waterboy or sth. That's of course if he ever gets out of the New Jersey Prison. And I said, Kobe's the most dominant SG, not the most dominant player... and I didn't say he's a dominant player either. Among SGs, he's the most dominant, but does this also say he's a dominant player? No, although I would think so.
How about Minnesota as a destination for Zo? A frontline of Zo & KG would be amazing. As for the Lakers, Zo would be a nice addition, but I don't know if he would come to the Lakers because there wouldn't be much PT for him. Also, who would the Lakers cut from the team .. Slava? Brown? The main problem for the Lakers is at point guard, and I'd rather see them fill the void there instead bringing in another frontline player. Once Divac is healthy the team will improve enough to compete in the paint.
