<div class="quote_poster">Quoting dunksworth:</div><div class="quote_post">I think what he means is that you'd have to be the clear cut best player on the team to be the franchise player. VC was and is the clear cut best player on our team that's why he's given the label of "franchise" player. Although Big Z isn't nearly as popular as Lebron, some would say he means just as much to the team as Lebron.

Personally I think Bosh hasn't proven himself to be a franchise player just yet, but I'm sure it'll come in time. We still need Carter to carry our team at this point, something Bosh isn't quite ready for yet.</div>

thank you for actually having some competent literacy skills. the word of the day in my initial rebuttal post was "arbitrary", so no clear distinctions had been established in terms of ability between big Z and lebron. Clearly, kg is the best player on his team, same with TD and shaq. plus, one another criteria: your team actually has to be a consistent winner. the crux of my argument was that u can't compare forwards to guards cause teenage forwards tend to be physically inept and are dominated at times as witnessed by zach randolph's 34 big ones. conversely, young guards have early success and regress later on in their careers, thats why jordan was exceptionally great.

and btw, dunksworth i think the problem with jbb is that many of the posters are part of my unfortunate generation that decided to play video games over reading. this is what accounts for misconceptions like this. Did u know the majority of young people voted bush?

you said this "lebron isn't the best player on his team, its big Z"

whether the word arbitrary is in there or not...i can only assume you mean what you say.

and hey...why dont you shut your mouth when it comes to making assumptions about me or my litteracy huh? you dont know me, dont know anything about me, and have no clue about my background or education. and are we even the same generation? when i was 20, you were just starting high school

and just a side note, if i was in the states, i certainly wouldnt have voted for bush.

this is a problem with jbb. people like you who dont have the first clue on how to participate in a simple discussion. why do you think i brought up lebron? because in your first post all you mentioned was age. i agree that pf's and centers take longer to develop.

I'm pretty sure I read that the young vote all voted for Kerry and every other age group voted for Bush. But thats not the point anyway.
Bosh might be able to play well enough to have his own team right now, but I'd be much happier if they let him grow under Carter. I still don't think he's finished developing.

Try going to Raptorschat.ca and you'll see what I mean. I assume dj premium just didn't catch the part where you wrote "arbitrary"..... it's not a big deal.

I know this is of topic from the thread, but that's surprising to see the younger generation voting for Bush. But actually, as much as I hate Bush, it's kind of reassuring that the young people didn't vote for Kerry just because people in the popular media (e.g. Michael Moore & Eminem) are telling them that Bush sucks. I didn't want Bush to win, but at the same time, I didn't want Kerry to win just because the voters based their decision solely on viewing Fahrenheit 911. I also know that the people who are the most animate about voting in America are usually the Republicans. That could be the explanation for the surprising numbers.
