Don't worry. The Clippers should run out of steam soon and the Suns will have trouble once they run into real teams (I don't consider their first three "challenges" real teams...Nets, Sixers, Hawks).

yeah, the lakers has been playing tough teams while the suns are playing some minor jv teams. so i guess the lakers will take the pacific division. none of the teams in the pacific is really consider a threat to the lakers right now.

I like seeing the goose egg for the Kings so far this season. They are the main threat in the division and obviously the more losses they get the better. The Suns have a great roster and Amare is off to a great start, but I think the Lakers are slightly ahead of them. They will probably go undefeated for their next couple of games and then face their first test against the Kings, followed by the Mavs. I predict the Lakers winning the next 4, so the November 19th showdown will be an important game for first place in the division.

Kings are 0-3 but they have had by far the toughest schedule out of any NBA team, having to face all texas teams to start the season is very harsh. Many teams who have to go through the texas triangle will come up empty this season.

But if they want to be considered a premiere team they need to win some of those games. The Kings are a good team, but they have to be worried about their start. They've allowed 100+ points in each of the three games.

If they lose those type of games at arco I would agree but they were all on the road against top tier teams. It's only november so they shouldn't be too worried yet, If they are still struggling come december/janiary time then they will be in trouble.

Exactly it is the start of the season and you can't get a good look at who is good and bad because of the fact some people have harder schedules, once everyone has played a good 30-40 games we should get a good read on who is ahead and who isnt. You just cant look at the record and say the Kings are 0-3 they suck or the same with the Lakers because of the fact they have the harder schedules in the Pacific, again Lakers should take the next 4 games and i don't know what the kings schedule is but they should be playing some easier teams over the next week with there starting 3 being the texas trio. So really I am not looking at the wins/looses after each team has played 3 games, its not a good indicator on who is good.

<font color="Purple">it will be a 2-way race for the division title. Our Lakers and the Kings.
But if there will be a darkhorse it will be the Phoenix Suns with their young talented line-up.

Lakers maybe struggling right now coz as we all know we have a brand new team. This period will serve as a learning experince for our lakers.

The state of Texas have two great teams. Im sure the standings will look much different before the all-star break.

The loss last night hurt, we dropped from the 7th seed to the 10th seed out West and fell behind the Kings for the first time this season in the division. Playing .500 ball is not going to get us into the post-season.

I'll tell you what the problem with our start was: NO DEFENSE :thumbsdow

Were starting to win some games, which is great, but Lack of Defense is still are biggest issue.Luckly for us Webber is starting to come through big time, but with his record over the past few years will this continue or not??

Right now were starting to get in our groove back in order and are starting to look decent, but still lack of D is still Killing us :thumbsdow

Anyways,in my opinion it will be a 3-way race between the Pacfic conference at the end of the season with The Lakers,Suns, and Kings..maybe even the Clippers...despite Phoenix's record...the NBA Pacfic race is still anybody's game with the Lakers,Clippers, and the Kings.

Dude, the Kings, lakers, and CLIPPERS? [IMG] Who what when where how?Really dont know what to say about that.Unless one of the Kings bigmen goes down for a significant amount of time and the lakers acquire a big man to stop the interior bleeding, its far from a race. Besides, you must mean between the Kings and Suns its anybodys race.

Actually the Suns and Lakers have both faced weak teams

    Pheonix: ATL, NJ, NO, CHI
    Lakers: ATL, CHI, NO
    Clippers: Golden State

As for the Lakers and Pheonix, minus one game it's been pretty much the same.

Very true. The only weak team they've faced is Chicago.

Clippers could very well be the suprise in their division (but I wouldn't put money on it [IMG])

The Clippers actually look good, and could suprise some folks in the NBA Pacfic. But as i think will probably happen it will end up being Phoenix,The Kings and The Lakers as the elite of the NBA Pacfic..Does that make you happy now [IMG] LOL

So far we're 6-5, and I'm not impressed at all. Most of our impressive wins this season, when you cross out our home opener against Denver, and the Rockets win without Tracy McGrady, we haven't played up to our potential just yet. Basically, we're still winless against top Western Conference opponents, and if we continue to lose against some of the better teams in the West, there's no way we'll be able to wrap up a playoff spot.

Im afraid too Emo. This doesnt look good for us at all. Perhaps with the return of Vlade we will have some more experienced team and things will be better.

Also its pretty early in the season. Wait at least for another 10games before we really can make a decision.

The Lakers took advantage of other teams slipping in the West including the Jazz, TWolves and Rockets. With a 9-6 record, the Lakers are on pace to win 50 games, which should be enough to get them into the playoffs. Unfortunately every team in the Pacific division is on a win streak, except the Warriors. The Suns have won 8 in a row, the Clippers 4 in a row, and the Kings have won 8 out of their last 10 games, while the Lakers have won 2 straight.

The suns need to cool off. Not Marion and Amare though. I need them on my fantasy roster. Just everyone else! LOL
