Sprewell Who got the better end: me or the other guy? Note: The Yahoo league I'm in is only for the 2005 season.
pretty good trade imo, if ginobili can continure his play as of late, its definately in ur favour to do this trade

Not a bad trade considering gasol is still in memphis' 10-man rotation. I think you might cover Ray Allen's 3s with Spree's 1.3 or so and Ginobili's 1.5 or so. Carmelo might kill your TO's, but you get a solid scorer and rebounder in him. Deng is questionable but could do great things for you. I like it myself, well done.

I'm the one trading Carmelo, Ginobili, Sprewell, and Deng away for Ray and Pau.
OHHHHHHHHH, my bad. I still think Gasol is gonna struggle, his minutes have been dropped from the mid 30s to 30. If you watch him play he is not grabbing the boards well. I think u should not do the trade because the players you have will fill out ur roster better. You'll be left without a bench and have to pick up scrubs. I think the players u have now can produce.

Carmelo has a tendency to hog the ball and go 5-20 for a game as I didn't want that type of player on my team. I really don't need Ginobili, Sprewell, and Deng since Joe Johnson and Ray are better scorers.
Ginobili is proving to be an equivalant scorer to Joe Johnson and Ray Allen... even in limited minutes. He's only averaging about 28 minutes but still dropping 22 a night along with 3 steals and 4 assists 4 boards. I have Ginobili on my fantasy team and I'm not giving him up at all.
It was a bit less than decent trade I guess. Pau Gasol and Ray Allen are great players but the players you gave up like Anthony, and Ginobli will fill the stat sheet even more than Allen and Gasol.
well i think you got ripped off a little bit just because you guys are forced to play so many players since whoever started it chose that many positions to play. ginolbli is awesome, deng is playing well, but i doubt he'll keep it up, melo is decent, spree is not playing that great thus far. gasol is good and ray is awesome. it really depends who you are able to pick up and fill in the slots. actually it isn't that bad of a trade, manu and melo are the only ones to really take account on (spree and deng, you had spree and manu on the bench in the beginning so you had only two slots to fill) and ray and gasol are definetely an upgrade over them for the long run.
Yeah, I like Allen a lot, if plays most of the season he'll be great, and clearly a top 15 player. I was big on Gasol too, but he's obviously struggling, so it was the best time to grab him. He'll recover, but the question is when/how soon. Melo is also having trouble this year. On the other hand, Manu has been playing excellent basketball. I think Melo will continue to struggle early on I never considered drafting him in any of my drafts. In fact, I took Manu before Anthony in one draft, though that was also due to position concerns. My overall opinion is that you shouldn't have traded away Sprewell or Deng in the trade and then you come out even. But you can always find someone off the waiver wire (depending on league depth) who can replicate Spre's numbers.
I don't like this trade. Sprewell isn't ammounting to anything, Deng is still a rookie and will hit a wall, and Carmello has been shooting under 25% and is out of shape and turns the ball over. Ray Allen on the other hand is Yahoo's 7th ranked player thus far. He shoots a great percentage while putting up great ppg, rpg, and apg averages and hitting three pointers (essential to Yahoo leagues which use that stat). Gasol plays in a ten man rotation, but that hasn't stopped him from putting up 15+ and 8+ every night in the past.
At the beginning I was tryin to get something for Allen, but Im glad I kept him. 22 3's so far and shooting a very high percentage. I wonder if he can continue this production
