I tink twenty something at one time. Dumb-Levey really blew that one in a horrible sequence near the end. And I just don't know what happened with Troy Murphy and his free throws. He's gotten Duncanitus or Shaq Syndrome or something. He was just horrible. It should have never come down to a close game in overtime like this. It should have been a win. And now you can chalk up the game in San Antonio as a loss unless we start playing like the Sonics did that night they played them.

It looks like the warriors are headed for a 1-7 or worse start this season.

After seeing what I saw I don't think they can do it with the talent they had. They could have done it last year maybe if NVE was healthy and they had Foyle at backup. Murphy for rebounding, we still had Dampier to mix it up in the middle. We lost too much talent where we need it most which is from the outside, the free throw line, and the post. Dampier drew fouls, Cardinal could hit from the outside and sink shots form the line. Those two players made a difference I think. Right now Free throws and shooting is just killing us. When you don't have that you know you are going to suck so bad, Cohan won't seen for years in public at least until he hires a new GM or a coach.

Seems like the same old Warriors. Able to get a good lead and than just falter when its on the line. Very disappointing.

Yeah Dunleavy did a good job winning the game for the Mavs. How many morons put their team over the limit so they turn the ball over and send the other guy to the line for the lead. I was very disappointed. Where were the free throws and where was the help from the other guys when Fisher was struggling to find an open man in the late 2nd to early 3rd. I know people are tired of hearing it, but I'd want Dunleavy to be picking splinters out of his butt in the 4th. He's on a really short leash now in my book.

I watched the game, and what was Derek Fisher doing lauching up so many shots, I mean he was doign decent, getting to the line etc, but 6-23 from the field, man Fisher, take it easy buddy.

Dunleavy is dissapointing me, I really want to see him doing more than he's doing right now, I was expecting him to rise to about 16-5-3 this year, but he's not even showed signs yet.

Fisher couldn't find anyone open and he was the only one who was hitting shots so he tried to take them. I wouldn't bag on him because nobody else was getting open and when they were open they weren't converting. Fish is not afraid of missing and that's fine by me because he's a proven winner that will do other things to make his team better like keep his head up, play defense, and run an offense. Dunleavy just let everyone down on the last sequence of plays that led to the Mavs lead for good. Fans, including me, are growing really impatient. Especially since the GM is just risking it all on these guys. So many base year compensation players... ridiculous.

If you saw it, it would break your heart. They came back all that way through struggles in the 3rd/4th to gain the lead only for Dunleavy to do several things that just ruined it.

Foyle should have had about 7 blocks. He was all over people in the lane...

This has to be the Best NBA Game i have tuned into so far this year. The Warriors held the Mavs to their own, despite BLOWING the lead...this team has a lot of heart from what i can see.now they have to work on not blowing any games that they can win,and once they are able to do this...things will look good for the Warriors.

Yeah only because its too easy to score on Murph, Jrich, and Dunleavy combined! Foyle's gotta try and block it or he's not doing his job as the weakside defender a la Marcus Camby. Who's going to help him? We need to have an athletic power forward in the rotation that's willing to learn some post moves, how to take a man off the dribble and knock down perimeter shots. Someone that's a little like Karl Malone in his youth or something. I mean I like Murph, but he's not an option to go to and he just looks really bad when has to shoot for volume. His job should be to rebound and take the shots when 3 other scorers are a head of him like during the Jamison/Arenas days. Unless of course, Murphy develops legitimate high % low post scoring.

They have to shoot free throws and Dumbleavey has to play under control and not be so anticlimatic on defense and at the free throw line. I'm still bummed at what he did.

But you gotta admit, they do have a lot of heart when there playing.Dunleavy needs some adjusting, and once he gets that,he will be fine.besides it's still early in the season,to worry.

Dunleavy's time is running out. If he cant show to be a valuable asset this year, his chances of getting an extension like Richardson and Murphy will be slim.

Dunleavy is Mullin's son, he'll sign him for sure.

As for the defense, the new defense rules really hurt the W's, who have few quick defenders. If they can't even check an opponent with your hands when you're guarding them, you are going to have a hard time figuring out where your opponent is going unless you're already great defensively. As Tony Parker puts it, Ole. That's why Centers are getting a lot more block opportunities this year, but also a lot more fouls in the process.

I anticipate that, but I hope it does not happen. If Dunleavy stinks it up this year, he wont get a huge extension. He might get a larger than what he deserves extension, but probably not as large as Murphy's. Probably more like Fisher's contract...

Here's Mike's stat line for the year:

    M. Dunleavy 33.5min 13.3pts 1.0off 3.0def 4.0tot 2.5ast 1.25stl 0.00blk 2.0to through 4 games. He needs about 5 more points per game and maybe 6 rebounds, then he'll get Murph money.

I think he's been respectable, but what jumps out have been his miscues at the end of games. I want to think of him as a winner, and winners find ways to win games. Let's hope the W's culture hasn't soured him.
