I've been watching Yao for over 2 years now and the key for him having a good game is to get him involved early..........whenever the rockets don't go to him a lot early I think it hurts his confidence.....if we can at least get yao to have 6 or 8 first quarter points I think it's very helpful.......T Mac can almost get his whenever he wants to.....share your thoughts

True. Yao always does well when he gets his points in the first quarter; that was something we failed to do in the first two games. When Yao scores 6-10 points in the first Q, it boosts his confidence and thus makes him play better in the next two quarters. He always disappears in the fourth though, regardless of how he does in the first three.

I remember them specifically trying to establish Yao early in the first game, but it didn't work out. I think that Yao just needs to play his own game not trying to do too much, and he'll succeed.

Yao needs to realize this is his team to quit being so passive...players are sacricing open shots to get HIM a close shot...when hes within 5 feet of the basket, it needs to be a dunk...no questions asked...all the 18-foot jumpers were cute at the beginning but are now getting old...its frustrating because he can be so much more dominant...
