    Finally what?

He was player of the week last year in February, during his 50%+ shooting streak

    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Wade, a 6?4?, 212-pound rookie from Marquette University, averaged 27 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.00 blocks and 35.3 minutes in Miami?s three victories. He shot 59.2 percent (29-49) from the floor, 50 percent (3-6) from three-point range and 83.3 percent (20-24) from the foul line. </div>

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Named the Eastern Conference NBA Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 22, becoming the first Heat rookie to earn league Player of the Week honors and the 21st in NBA history. Was also the first rookie to capture league Player of the Week honors since Steve Francis captured the award in January of 2000 and the first Eastern Conference rookie since Vince Carter in March of 1999</div>

Ya Wade really deserved this one.
    With stat lines of
    28 PPG
    7 APG
    6 RPG
    1.6 SPG
    1 BPG
    .56o% FG percentage
    1.000 3 PT FG %(lol he only shot 1)

But the most important thing is that he won. Leading your team to a 3-0 is pretty good way to dtsrt the season. He led them, but I'm sure once Shaq fully recovers and understand the Heats game he will take control of the steering wheel. ITs nice to see Wade get some recognition while always being ovwer shadowed by LeBron and Melo.

Yup, most of the time in the Player of the Week, they make sure the team's record is good too, because I know their's times when player would have good numbers, but if they don't win they won't get to award.

It was really a no contest in terms of Eastern players, no one else produced and won like he did. In the West it was also no contest, but not because no one else produced and won but because KG just ripped a hole in the stat sheet. Boozer could've gotten it too.

Hmm, let's see, the topic says Wade is player of the Week and someone reply's "finally" without quoting the stats or mentioning why he's saying "finally", what will everyone assume he's reffering too?

Now let's see if Shaq, Wade, or any other Heat players can get it again next week along with the Ws.

LOL i was thinking the same thing, but I think it will focus too much on a variety of statistics and other stuff.

Some qualities that might earn him a spot:
. winning a game for the Heat
. (clutch) rebounding (maintain or improve from 8rpg)
    . maintain a high FG%/FT% (right now he's averaging 63%-FG/80%-FT for 12pts)
. Average 15ppg and possibly better
. Continue improving on smart passing to earn more assists like in the Wizards game

It's very hard for Udonis to earn POW but one of the main reasons is scoring is important and he is a 5th option on the Heat.

lol yea, unless for some reason the team starts giving him the ball and he averages 17 points, 12 rebounds, while shooting high, and the team wins all their games next week, but even then, their's probably some superstar player that would beat that.
