Keys To The Game

Toronto Raptors
-Bench produces again. The bench has been great, and they need to pick up the slack if the starters are struggling or in foul trouble.

-Take the crowd out of the game early. The Raps have to get a lead early, and keep it. They can't let the Kings get a big lead, because it is incredibly hard to come back from a big margin against the Kings at Arco.

-Bosh and Carter have to both produce. Bosh and Carter have to both produce to open up shots for everyone else like Alston, Rose, Marshall etc. They both have to do it consistently, because so far, whenever one of them has been having a good game, the other has struggled, so they both have to have good games.

Sacramento Kings
-Get Peja going. He's been in a bit of a slump to start the season, but he gets his lucky chance, because he's got a pretty bad defender in Jalen Rose guarding him tonight. Look for him to have a good game.

-Low Post scoring. Webber and Miller should dominate inside against Bosh and Woods. Get them into foul trouble early, so they can get the reserves in quicker to play longer minutes.

-Fast breaks. The Kings are a good running team, and they have to tire out the Raps, so they don't run their break as effectively. Bibby and Christie could have monster game's off of steals and long rebounds.

Prediction

I think the Kings will be pumped for their home opener. Arco is one of the (if not the most) loudest arena's in the league, and I think that will be too much for the Raptors to handle. I think the Kings will win by 8.

Carter should be on Peja this game, and needs to get right up on his face and take away his shot. He's got the quickness to keep up with him, and if Peja goes by him, you got Woods and Bosh inside to stop him.

Vince should also take advantage of a rusty Christie in this game when he's guarding him.

Raptors might find it hard to win this one, although the Kings are 0-3 and Toronto is undefeated. This game will be Sacramento's home opener after a road trip in the Texas triangle to start the season, so they will be fired up. Stojakovic has also come out of his slump against Houston, and Bibby looked sharp. The main problem is that Brad Miller will draw Loren Woods away from the hoop and Webber will beat up Bosh down low. Unless Vince can explode, I'll take the Kings, 103-97.

each of the teams the raptors have defeated thus far had excuses: houston was playing a back to back, the pistons according to ben wallace didn't take the raptors seriously and the blazers are a walking disaster waiting to happen as witnessed by randolph's missed flight. so i guess with this being sacamento's home opener, their horrendous start and the raptors being on the road, this game should be a litmus test.

Stupid comment. The Pistons and Rockets are better than us, and both arguably better than the Kings, and we still beat both teams.

Im predicting the raptors go 4-0, the bench will be productive and our starters will make the Kings backcourt cry hopefully. I want us to win this game so bad, we would have the first year in franchise history that the team has started the season going 4-0 and that against good teams too.

I'll use your own style and respond to your illogical comment by only a [IMG].

As for me, I predict the Kings to come out strong early and they will win this one just based on the home court advantage and the fact that they are extremely hungry for a team. They will try anything to win and once this team gets hot then it's lights out. Toronto must not get lost in the process of 3 pointers because the Kings will not only torch them, they will bury them alive once Toronto starts trailing. Arco Arena is not a place that you want to trail in double digits by. I predict the Kings to win this one by 7, simply because I believe they have the upper hand over this Raptors team. But once again, like the past 3 games, there is also the chance that I will be horribly wrong.

I also bet 2 bucks on the Kings so they better win tonight! For my money's sake, I hope the Kings win but as a Raptor fan, I'm hoping the Kings lose. Kinda ironic but still.
I bet against the Raptors because everytime I have bet for them in the past, they kept losing so today I decided to just bet against them.
It also happens to be my first "warm-up" bet of the season and I truly believe the Kings will win this. It's only two bucks but nonetheless [IMG]

Why do you guys see the need to be so offensive and rude? [IMG]

Be realistic. The Kings are better than the Raptors in every aspect. The Kings are playing their first home game of the season, and they can't be anymore hungry for a win when they're 0-3.

so what? you think they'll lose. maybe they will...is there something wrong with predicting a win? maybe you think its a "nuff said" scenerio, but maybe other people wanna discuss it. it was "realistic" to predict a loss to detroit who are a better team then the kings...but we beat them. i dont see anything wrong with a prediction of a win tonight. face it...your comment was just off key. detroit is better then the raps and we beat them. you seem to ignore that fact.

and im not even so sure they WILL win...im just playing devils advocate

I think the Kings will win becuase they will be real hungry being 0-3, and playing at home for the first time. It will probably be a good one but the Kings hunger will manage to beat the Raptors. Kings: 90 Raptors: 78

Well... Kings are up by like 20, Now this is some of the reasons i think people ranked Raptors below where they should of been with their records, the team doesn't show good shot selections from time to time because of their bad habits.

The negatives:
- bad rotations on defense.
- horrible shot selections.
- shot 36% from the field, 22% from beyond the arc, and 63% free throws... ouch...
- Bosh struggles for the second straight game.
- Woods gets a lot of rebounds, but breaks down on D.
- bench wasn't able to cut the lead this time.

The postives:
- forced 18 turnovers
- got 19 offensive rebounds (mainly because we kept missing our shots)
- Araujo got 10 minutes

If the Raps keep playing like this, then this will be one loooong road trip. At least this loss brings them back to down to earth. I don't know how we can bounce back from this to beat Utah.

just finnished watchin the game (had to tape it...was at work lol)

honestly...there are lots of things that i think we did wrong and they did right...but really what i think it all boils down to: they hit their jump shots...we missed ours. sure you can say raps should have been taking it to the rack...we did that, and we did that well...but we missed pretty much every open jumper we had with the exception of a few. the jump shot was just NOT falling for us tonight, and the kings were just kickin theirs down as if it was going out of style. we got in the habit early of jacking up shots...and it just wasnt working. too bad. would have been nice to come out of their and head into utah with a win

the scary part is now we have to go into utah and face one of the best front lines in the league on the back side of a back to back [IMG]

^ weird it posted itself again......nvm

ak47's great....i love him...boozers pretty good....dont think okur is much of anything special though. and they dont have any decent bench bigs that i can think of.
i still wouldnt say one of the best...might be a bit too hyped by the press.....like Houston and the Knicks.
