I think they're already working on the rebuilding thing, and for that matter, have been doing so since their last championship run. Personally, I think the Bulls have a team that could make it to the playoffs for them right now. Maybe not this year, but, next year, they could make the playoffs. The core is solid, and beyond that, if the team is as good I think it can be, with all the youth it has right now, it could be good for many years to come. That is, assuming that they're willing to keep the team together, even through failure. But, personally, I think this team is a good enough team to make the playoffs, they just haven't put the pieces of the puzzle together yet.
i was prediucting playoffs this year, i knew the teams in the past were garbage, but maybe we still need to wait an extra year to bond, that is assuming the main players stay together until next year and then make the playoffs, but still with hinrich and deng and curry, i say playoffs this year. get chandler out of there, and with better defense, playoffs are reachable.
Seriously, they just lost Crawford after his break out year, and they just lost Pippen's leadership. They gave up Brad Miller and Ron Artest in the past. Relying on Hinrich and Curry is not a very convincing pair. They got their lottery picks, assuming they can re-sign those players after their rookie contracts are up they will make the playoffs in about 4 years.
Bulls should sign Sarunas Jaskivuvius (sp?). Just think about him and the rest of the Bulls lineup. I think that team could make the playoffs. No NBA teams have seriously thought about signing him and I don't know why. Nocioni & Kutluay got selected to NBA teams and the best Olympic player can't get on one? Give me a break. I wish there was some way we could get him. What's the point of making the lottery again? We've been doing that for years but at some point we're just gonna have to get that veteran/leader to get this team over the hump.

If they do....well....crap, they don't deserve to be a team anymore, lol. But seriously, they have a good team right now. They have all the pieces in place. The only thing they lack is veteran leadership, and if one thing can hold them down (aside from consistency), it's that. I see playoffs this year, and if not this year, next year. They have too much talent to miss them another 4 years in my opinion.

Getting rid of Jamal Crawford has been one of Paxson's best moves yet. Another one of Jerry's failed projects. selfish basketball is not what Paxson wanted, therefore he got rid of a selfish player. I don't know what you mean by Hinrich and Curry being a "convincing pair"
seriously the bulls seem to have no patience...if they had a front court of brad miller, elton brand and ron artest they could be a big part of the playoff picture.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting BBall Guru:</div><div class="quote_post"> Getting rid of Jamal Crawford has been one of Paxson's best moves yet.</div> LOL. Crawford would have been an investment in the future. The closest thing that they had to a franchise player. As for Curry and Hinrich, I'm just saying that they are not good enough to have the amound of responsibility that they do.
The Bulls dont need to rebuild they already done that by getting rid of every player on that championship team. The Bulls are use to getting role player that come of the bench to contribut their mangement cant look for another MJ because they see all these players that have talent but they dont they are a franchise players (Artest,Brand,Crawford). I think they need to hold on to Hinrich he is a leader and he can control the game by being to PG. He is smart and knows good shots from the bad The Bulls are done rebuilding they got the talent all they need is the leader ship to go along with the youngsters

They had their chances they just made dumb moves. Like trading Brand, Artest and Rose for players who are not really good. Best thing they can do now is wait for Heinrich and the rest of the guys to develop.
The bulls have been rebuilding for awhile..but i agree with what everyone has been saying...2 many stupid moves, they gain some players then they lose some. ugh.
