Is there any real point to this thread? If you want to get a discussion going, at least an intelligent one, post reasons why you think he should be gone. Those always help in my opinion.

Anyways, my thoughts. I'd give Chandler til about the 20 game mark to start producing. If he's not doing so by then, start looking for offers and deal him for something, probably another halfway descent power forward or center. But, I think you've got to give him time. He's coming off a season where he missed 60% of the games, it's going to take time for him to get back into the form he needs to be in. In my opinion, no matter how much you practice, when you're away from the game as much as he was last year, you're going to need time, not just team and individual practices, to get back into game form. So, I say, give him til game 20, if his numbers aren't up by then, start looking for takers.

I'd rather have Chandler, who could still be good, than Bradley, who is nothing but a tall white guy who can't do a damn thing anymore.

what does him being white have anyhitng to do with anything? anyways, i agree 100% tyson chandler is not even an NBA caliber player, this guy is trash from the LA and needs to go to the CBA or whatever the hell that is...ALL-STAR!!!???hahaha, ALL-STAR? yeah maybe a HS all-stater, but saying he mgiht be an all-star in the nba is a joke, give me a break, but yeah he will be gone very very soon i believe and hope, they arent waiting until febraury or whenever the deadline is, bulls scored only 74 points and lose by 20 to the suns, they are 0-3 and can tafford to have chandler, let alone be in the starting line-up, at leats put him on the bench.

I was being sarcastic when I made the white comment, as I myself am white and am by no means racist against other white americans or any other race in society for that matter. I was just stating that Shawn Bradley is no longer worth anything and would simply be a waste of a roster spot up in Chicago especially considering that they are rebuilding and don't need someone like him around. He may be a vet and everything, but I don't believe he'd bring anything to the team. That's pretty much my opinion on the sarcastic comment that was made about the trade in the first place. So, yea, I wasn't being racist at all or trying to offend anyone.

Now, about other things. The Bulls only scoring 74 is not just his fault. No one on that team could do anything at all. Did you ever bother to look at anyone elses stat line? Well, I'll probably bet not since you just want a reason to get rid of Chandler, so I'll tell ya here. Hinrich, 4/13 FG and only 10 pts, 3/9 and only 6 points, Nocioni only 3/11 with 7 points, Chandler was 3/5 with 7 points, Curry was only 1/5 with 3 points, quite frankly, I could keep going and delve into the bench, but, it doesn't change the fact that everyone played bad. The only person with a halfway descent game was Deng, 8/22 with 18 points, and even then, his shooting was bad. So, to focus in on one players performance and to blame the loss on just him is crap. No one played well at all. To blame it on just him like you seemingly want to doesn't work, especially considering everyone from 1-12 didn't play well at all. You just want an excuse to get rid of him.

ok, hinrich and nocioni had a bad game in a way, but how often can you say that about hinrich, this is a DAILY thing with chandler, not just this game, just using an example. deng shot 8/22, ok but he led the team in scoring and picked up a lot of slack and had 2 good games before this, again, you can blame chandler because just because others didnt do so well and he didnt doesnt mean everyone had a tought night; well, when does he ever do good??? the bulls are in a run or puting up good numbers, chanlders numbers seem to be the same crappy low numbers. he is garbage and needs to get the hell out of town, hes a waste of space, waste of 7'1 in the paint.

puts up crappy numbers, low points, not enough rebounds, cant block considering hes 7'1, plays around 22 min a game only, always hurt, cant play defense, always being schooled by whoever hes guardiung, has terrible hands, always loses it when he gets it, even on the rebounds he gets, he always gets it stripped, has no post moves, cant shoot jumpshots, just sucks overall...hes hurting the bulls, at least put him on the bench, with him starting, he hurts the bulls right off the tIp literally, he starts, the bulls start poorly, down big to the nets, down 21-9 or whatever to the suns in the first, and its liek this almost every game, bulls getting off to bad starts and playing catch-up, GO TO THE BENCH.

See, you're doing it again. You're focusing on one player as the problem, when really, it's not. It's THE TEAM. You hear the THE TEAM. Not Tyson Chandler. You don't play basketball as a one man game. Maybe, maybe if he was actually shooting and missing and not doing anything at all, than you could maybe focus in on him, but you can't. He's not taking many shots (3/5 the other night), but I don't know what he's doing defensively. But seriously, stop focusing on him. No one has played consistently good all year. Aside from that, we're now trying to work Curry back into the rotation, and that won't help Chandler either. But, you need to realize, it's not Chandlers fault that the Bulls are losing. Basketball is a TEAM game, not an individual one. He can only do so much to help or hurt the team, there are others involved. You just don't seem to realize that at all.

Personally, I don't want Tyson taking shots. I want Tyson making his points off of put backs and dunks like last night. By all means, yesterday, Tyson had a pretty decent game. 23 minutes, 7 points, 8 rebounds, 2 blocks. I'm not sure why he didn't play more minutes, considering he only had 3 fouls. To me that is a good game. If Tyson averages that all season, and ends up playing somewhere between 72-78 games. That is a good season, deserving of a decent contract.

Really though, if Tyson was to play maybe even 33 minutes last night he probably would have had 10 rebounds and 10 points and perhaps another block. I am giving Tyson the benefit of the doubt. Assuming he continues to stay healthy and continues to learn the game and focus. He will be just fine.

If you want to cry about anything, cry about Eddy Curry not taking advantage of bad centers last night or not taking advantage of a smaller Amare Stoudamire. Poor performance by him. Then again a team shooting 33% won't win you much of anything. Bad performances by everyone, even Deng who (despite scoring 18 points) was 8-22 and 1-5 from three point land, and really failed to get to the foul line.

I was pretty much agreeing with what you said until you brought up the Curry situation. If you look at the full statline, not just points, rebounds, etc., the bulk of what people look at, you'll not that he only played a mere 17 minutes. He did not get a lot of time to do anything last night. And, to top it off, it was his first game of the season, he had to find his way into the swing of things. But, to rip on someone for a poor performance, who, in reality, didn't have much gametime to do anything and it was his first game to top it all off, to me, that's not right. Chicago, overall as a team, just did not play well. You can't pick on one individual for a poor performance when no one played up to par.

yes i am fully aware that it is a team game, but if you dont do your role well individually, the TEAM will fail. he gets dominated by marion, huge height advantage for chandler, but that ddint seem to effect marion and stoudemire. if you're playing poor individual defense and offense, that will hurt the TEAM, and the TEAM can lose if a certain individual doesnt do his role.

I'm very aware of this. But, it's like I said, no one played worth a damn the other night, and it's not justifiable to single out one player when no one plays well. That's what I'm trying to get to.

And to think that the Chicago Bulls traded this guy for Elton Brand.

Actually, they traded Elton Brand to get him, not what you said.

Saad, I understand where you're coming from, but you need to realize, it's early in the season. Are you going to say that Lamar Odom is crap cause he's not playing up to expectations right now? Probably not. The point is, it's early right now. He's working off the rust since he hadn't played in how long? When you come off a season where you're injured a good part of it, it can take a little bit of time to get back into the swing of things. You need to understand that. And again, no one is playing all that hot right now for Chicago. Nocioni is shooting like crap, Curry just came back, Hinrich isn't shooting a high percentage, so, to say the least, no one is playing to their full capability yet. Give em all time, and it'll get there. You can't rule out a player's entire season just because he's gotten off to a bad start though.

man that is all crap, sorry. odom is a good player, and can be, hes proven that. chandler has been given like 4 years and is supposed to be kevin garnett. hes not. fine. at least play somewhat decent. how much more time can you give him? hes pissing me off.

I think that both Chandler and Curry are way too young to give up on. They should be seniors in college right now. I mean look at Jermaine O'Neal. I took him a good 3 to 4 years to become the star player that he is now. We need to give both of thise guys more time. We can't be too critical of them just yet.

I said that the team did bad. I mentioned them shooting 33%. Did you miss that? I also critized Deng. I don't care how long Curry had to get ready, he gets paid big bucks to perform every day. I work every day, my boss expects the same performance out of me. there is not "getting ready" I really hate that excuse, I don't think these people should be exempt from anything. That is not an excuse. Just like there is no excuse for punching some guy in the nuts while he's LAYING DOWN.
