ok herees the rumor. Coles who is unhappy in Washington for Moss whos unhappy in NY. And moss is in the last year of his contract. Coles has 4 years left. Plus Moss will probably demand a lot of money. I really hope they do it, also i personally think Coles is more talented. hes got a problem with his foot but thats fixable. The only problem will be that i'm gonna have to change my username (10 stands for pennington, 83 stands for moss) oops :noworry:

I would take Coles any day over Moss. I don't think that would be an even trade at all...look for some late round draft compensation.

I'd be wary of anything other than a straight up player for player trade. Washington's going to have to cut Coles anyway, so you could probably get him cheaper as a free agent rather than accepting his inflated contract "as is."

actually they are saying the Jets will not do the deal if Washington doesnt pay the bonus' due to him. and the Redskins are said to be willing to do it. The Skins called the Jets not visa versa, i'm sure the Jets would be fine iwth moss for another year and then maybe sign him or not. Coles is a great player, i support this deal because its straight up and the Jets wont have to pay that inflated contract. And i'm sure the Skins wont drop him because it would be worth more for them to get something back

In order for the skins to pay him the bonus and trade him they would have to cut other players or renegotiate some contracts. I dont think this deal will happen

i'm just looking at all the papers and this is really starting to happen. There are serious talks between the teams. There is an article in the NY times about this. I hope it happens. The Jets would get a steal. My only concern is Coles' foot. He refused to get surgury, i dont know whats happening with that. But still i'm happy about this

The trade is dead according to the NY Jets. Coles said through his agent he would not report to camp if he was traded and did not get a new contract. The Jets are now considering anti-tampering charges against the redskins, becuase they may have worked out an extension with moss during the talks, even though NY never gave permission.
