Steve Francis is by far the best PG in the Nba. He is tied with Baron. Francis vs Baron Francis has better dunks, jumper, unselfishness, and a tad bit faster, and Cluth factor Baron has better 3, passes, and that's about it and thats the fact Look for him to average 24-8-6 no matter what We all seen him have 3 dunks that would make any hater say watch out for #3 Francis. Along with Mobley a C player and Hill a C+ and even Howard and A for a rookie we have what it takes to go all the way and you won't catch me doubting this team. When the Framchise leads OTOWN to the finals remember where u saw it first.
i'LL second Franchise73187. Francis is the best point guard. But right now it is out of Francis, Baron and Nash. You have to put all the blame on Nash for making the Pheonix suns(with all those stars i thought they would not get along) a team. Despite the loss. But i'll still stand saying Fancis is tops right now so thats... Fancis - II Baron - I Nash - I
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Jurassic:</div><div class="quote_post">I am too lazy to tear your post apart right now......</div> LOL I must agree. Don't get me wrong I really like Francis a bunch (he's got mad skills), but your bias for Stevie has affected the way you view the game (esp. why would you start your thread by saying 'Steve Francis is by far the best PG in the Nba. He is tied with Baron.'?!). He's not really a true PG in my opinion, but a 'tweener'.
LOL Steve will never be the best PG in the game. In my opinion a PG that turns the ball over at least 5 time ever game. Can never be the best PG in the game.

I would rate Dwayne Wade higher than Francis, given what I've seen so far this year. Both are similar types of players, and I think Wade is better at understanding his limitations and playing under control.
Francis is a very good PLAYER not a great point guard. I will give him credit though, he is one of the most all-rounded players in the league and knows how to rebound the ball. He can create but is better suited at the off guard for doing so. Francis has alot of heart and is a big reason why Orlando are doing much better than last year but best point guard? nope...the best point guard is still Jason Kidd and will likely remain so for quite a few more years.
If J-Kidd can stay healthy, then he's still the best PG. Baron and Francis are both not true PGs. I'd say for the REAL PGs its: 1. J-Kidd 2. Marbury 3. Nash

Nash is great at making his team better and he can score if he has to. The Suns were not very good last year and Nash has made them into a pretty good team. Marbury has awesome handles and he also knows how to make his team better through passing and scoring. LeBron James is also a Point Shooting Guard (Because Silas played him at PG last season) and he is up there with the best in the NBA. Francis has done great for the Magic this year but I don't think he is the best point shooting guard. If Cuttino Mobley, Dwight Howard, and Grant Hill start playing great -for Grant Hill keep playing great-then he could be one of the best Point Shooting Guards in the NBA.
Hmm, Kidd yes. Nash yes. But Marbury and Stevie? I'm not sure, I've always perceived both of them to be SGs in a PGs body.

Nash</div> Agree, when healthy these are the elite three. i think starberry and nash are interchangeable but i don't like his durability over a 82 plus playoff game stretch. baron is a stat stuffer, a good fantasy league stud except for the fg% and ft% but he has a deeply flawed game especially in the critical minutes. he doesn't bring it every day, he's had problems with his weight, he's over dependant on his freakish athleticism which means u will see a dramatic erosion of his game in the next five years and he sits out a lot of the clutch minutes behind darryl armstrong. the problem with francis is that he's a two not a point guard and i seriously question his decision making. i'm going to offend a lot of people by doing this but i'll finish your list with a top 15 1) j.kidd (if u have ever watched him play, there is no debate) 2) starberry (he's more of a team player than people think) 3) nash (lethal in the clutch, but horrible defender) 4) francis (tough dude) 5) heinrich (he's going to be in the top 3 in two years, he's got the smarts, shot, grit and he's a good defender) 6) chauncy billups (mr. big shot, mvp, really good defender) 7) sam cassel (his skills are eroding really quickly) 8) baron davis (the nba hype machine exaggerates his skills) 9) gilbret areanas (same concerns with him but i would put him at the two) 10) rafer altson (call me a homer but the raptor record speaks for itself) 11) tony parker (quickest dude in the league, arguably) 12) carlos arroyo (poor man's steve nash) 13) andre miller (triple double ability but his career has plateau) 14) gary payton (solid pro still) 15) jason williams (fluctuates between erratic and brilliant play, too bi-polar for my liking) 15) nick van exel (i question his health but when on i would put him ahead of cassel) j. will=van exel of course wade and ai could make this list but i think of them has shooting guards. Honourable mention to earl Watson (the best perimeter defender in the league) and troy hudson (when healthy, he?s dynamic) and earl boykins (great game last night).
Ok first of all, Francis is nowhere near being the best pg. I'd take Kidd, Billups, Nash, and Cassel over him (more than just those four). Secondly, he is not the best pg/sg, unless you really believe that he is better than Iverson. Deception, how can you seriously say that Kirk Hinrich is better than Billups and Cassel? This is absolute sillyness. Carlos Aroyo a "poor man's Steve Nash"?? Their games are not alike at all....

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I am too lazy to tear your post apart right now......</div> i agree with u on that one. btw francis with 8 rebs per game wow since when did francis started playing power forward <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">LeBron James is also a Point Shooting Guard (Because Silas played him at PG last season) and he is up there with the best in the NBA. </div> sorry buddy, tons of shooting guards have played at point and they aren't considered point shooting guards. lebron is a point shooting guard because he can score and have the ability to play shooting guard and handle the ball at the same time AND PPLE GET THIS CLEAR, STEVE FRANCIS IS A SCORING-MINDED POINT GUARD. period

Remember John Stockton ? 3: If his jumper is so good, why is he only shooting 42%? 4: If they make the playoffs, it will be a low seed which will put them against Indiana, Miami, or Detroit. They will be swept. Guaranteed. 5: Francis nor Baron Davis are not top point guards, and would be better suited at SG. 6: Nash is the best point guard at this moment because of what he does for his team. Being the best does not have anything to do with the numbers a player puts up, it has to do with what a player does for his team. Nash does more for his team than Francis or Davis.
1. Agreed 2. Agreed. 3. DISAGREE, first off IF, they probably will and The magic would definately not be swept. And i bet they will be 4th-6th seed. 5. They are top point guards but not the best 6. Him and Jason Kidd are he best point guards right now but jason needs to be healthy and get a fountain of youth effect. Agree. I think Francis does alot for the magic
4th seed would make them have a better record than either detroit or indiana. 5th seed would put them against indiana or detroit. 6 seed is the safest, but i dont think they would get that high.
i think the top 2 will be heat and pistons...then pacers depending on if they get their issue worked out. that would leave 4th open for magic, wizards, 76ers, or bucks. You dont think the magic will even get to 6th seed? The magic will show you...
