I think the Spurs did a great job by resigning Ginobili
So far he has put up all-star like #'s i know its only been 3 games
but so far he looks like he's been playing 60 games
He is number look like this

MIN PTS OFF DEF AST STL

    29.8 21.3 1.5 4.8 3.5 2.5

    Heres some of Kobe's number's

MIN PTS OFF DEF AST STL

    40.7 27.7 1.5 3.8 4.3 0.6

Kobe is playing more minutes and only average 6pts better than Ginobili
Oh yeah Kobe is averaging 15 FT a game Ginobili 6FT. You Do the Math

If the Spurs build the team around Ginobili we would see how good he could really be.
    That would be great

This is a stupid thread, Kobe is proven in the league Ginobili isnt. Heck, I love Ginobili and I'd want him to be better than Kobe but as of now he isnt he could be but its chances arent very good and Ginobili is also older than Kobe, but only by a year.

now i come into this thread as a fan of ginobli while not being much of a fan of kobe, but i gotta say this idea is a bit out of this world. with stats compraison after three games i could find you about 30 other players in the nab who will be the next jordan.

 with Manu as good as he is now hes bound to be better than kobe. Manu is not even at his prime and hes already being compared to kobe

Could say the same about Kobe, he himself needs to prove he can carry a team to the playoffs without Shaq.

As for this topic, no Manu is not better than Kobe nor will likely ever really be. Manu is a very good player who has seemed to certainly improve this summer and he should be a key player in terms of scoring. I doubt he will keep up his 21PPG average but I could certainly see him staying in the 18-19 range.

There are many facts that Ginobili is better
    1. he has Tim Duncan
    2. he is more of a team player(kobe is now trying to be a team without Shaq)
thats not even naming all of them if i had a choice to choose i would take Ginobili because of how he plays and his attitude he brings every night.
Ok may be the stats are to early but look at them now because i think they
are going to stay in that same rang PTS AST REBS STL
I know Ginobili is going to be a more COMPLETE player than Kobe

Oh D. Howard is going to be the next KG look at the #'s

I love Manu's game too but c'mon, he is and will never be better than Kobe. People can hate Kobe all they like but he is an amazing talent who can do some many others things on the floor. Manu can score, rebound and pass the ball but Kobe can do all that but do It even better.

The key point you made was indeed he plays with Tim Duncan, he makes Manu better on the floor and gives him chances to attack the defense.

Manu should be able to keep up the averages of at least 19, 6 and 4, he has more responabilty to be one of the main scoring options this year.

Kobe's not in his prime either, considering he's one year younger than Manu is.

Let's see Manu has Tim Duncan, and yes Manu is in his prime, he's turning 28 years old people, he's older than Kobe.

Manu is more of a team player, doesn't get double teamed, is a more energetic defender, but he's not better.

Heres the difference Manu plays for the team Kobe plays for himself. Manu is a better player already in my opinion. True greatness is not relected in stats but rather in how much better one makes his teamates. Manu's got him there.

I love both of these guys game
but we really have to see if Kobe can take this team on his back.

where ever Manu goes he wins

He won a championship in the NBA and Europe
    and we can't forget

    his GOLD medal.
