if the raps continue to play the way they do, no doubt they will make the playoffs. But this isnt all because of Skip. Loren Woods, Milt Palacio and even Matt Bonner have been contributing nicely. Milt and Matt are doing well of the bench, making good decisions. Lamond Murray also seems to feel more confident this year and is actually hitting some shots. Sam Mitchell is doing a great job of utilizing the bench. The star players of this team can get more rests while the bench comes out. Last year we didnt do well because our bench wasnt doing well. We had to solely rely on our starters, which tired them out.

I see great things from this team this year.

YES! Rafer Alston will take the Raptors to the playoffs because of his shooting and passing abilities. With Bosh, Rafer, Carter, and Marshall all playing well around him, they will make it to the playoffs and get to the 2nd or 3rd round. Acquiring Rafer Alston was a great thing the Raptors did to improve their team this offseason.

They'll probably make the playoffs with Alston. He has really improved since coming into the league. He's only going to get better so the Raptors have a solid PG for the next couple of years.

If you say that he's overpaid and doesn't make an impact you're stupid...

Well I think the Raptors will make the playoffs, but it won't be only Rafer that will get them to the playoffs, it will be Rafer, Bosh, and Woods. This players are the X-factors and have improved greatly. Plus a healthy VC, Jalen, and Donyell Marshell.

I always looked forward to seeing a Sixers Raptors playoff series again. It seemed like that pulled the best out of Iverson and Carter and neither have them has played at that level since (Just my view) Maybe ill get to see a great series like that this year

the one main concern i have for him is his body to wear down. if the raps keep playing the way they do...their body has to be feeling the pain sooner or later...especially in back to back sitautions...although the jazz game was an execption

in order to play a running game, we shud have a 10-man rotation, such as the grizzlies hev...also, our players must be in such a condition...Ryt now, i can say we are not far from being as deep as MEM.. d only problem is dat d production off the bench must increase....also hustle and defensive intensity..such as pressure d and blocking of passing lanes...

on the topic, this is wat we get from having A 'point guard'..and rafer fits coz of the style Sam wants..a run and gun type of offense which is clearly characterized by rafer's play...Hope he keeps it up..Not just him but also d team itself...

Skip is really shining and proving all his doubters wrong and I'm loving it.

He, along with Bosh and Woods are the X-Factors as of now but that could change anytime, you never know. All we know now is that we don't have to rely on Vince Carter and his "kick one foot out" fadeaways all the time, that there are other significant contributers on this team and we don't have to run a Rose & Carter isolation play on the right and left sides each time down the floor. With Rafer running the ball, it creates so many oppurtunities, you don't know how much I'm enjoying having him here again. Him and Carlos Arroyo were 2 point guards that I really loved when they originally played with the Raptors. Yet, Glen Grunwald let them both go. We already have Skip now, hopefully Babcock makes better descisions on who to keep and who to let go in his GM term.

A lot of the Raptors success can be attributed to Rafer but if anything it will be our bench that brings us into playoff land. Every game that Toronto has won the bench has been the x-factor (along with other things) and they have outplayed the other teams bench on a regular basis.

Yes Rafer will be a factor but the ultimate factor in getting the Raptors into the playoffs will be their bench.

Rafer "Skip to my Lou" Alston has had a gigantic impact on the raptors squad this year his passing along with our better bench and the emergence of Loren Woods has lead to early season success. Rafer can take us where he wants to, he's my favorite player because he's a good one and he's capable of taking us to the playoffs and maybe even past the first round. Rafer will probably be a candidate for MIP this year.

^^He will be one of the leaders of the team but your getting a little carried away, he isn't THAT good that he will get mvp considerations.

How many games have you watched? Not to let you down or anything but the Raps have been using 10-man rotation since the beginning of the season. Production off the bench have been nothing short of spectacular and you can count on the bench for 40-plus points on good nights.
