lol o yea she also said something abuot him only scoring 20 once it was sord of pissing me off but i had to agree with her at the same time cause hes plaing like crap
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting dj_premium_plus:</div><div class="quote_post">damn. tough loss to swallow honestly. few reasons why: vince had a wide open look to seal the deal and he air balled it vince had a chance to win it, and he drove but didnt stop and go up strong, he continued to fade away two free throws made instead of missed and we would have won jalen's play was infuriating. anybody remember in the 3rd quarter when he was just jaking up jumper after jumper...and bricking EVERY $&#@!*& one!!! MAAAN that as pissing me off. you could say right there that that cost us the game, because if he had just been patient and moved the ball around...or even posted up and kicked it out to someone for a decent look, we would have had a better look at a shot then the ugly, fade away contested jumpers that he was taking. GRRRR! jalen really pissed me off, and wasnt playing anything like he was the previous games (with the exception of the utah game) bosh with a solid solid game...happy bout that. bosh, rafer and bonner all playing well. man is bonner ever consistant with that jump shot. thats a good sign. dude you need to learn how to use this button: </div> He didn't really fade, just didn't have an angle, and their wasn't enough time to kick it out after drawing the defense unless we wouldn't have gotten a shot up at all. I'm not going to hate because Vince played some great defense, and also got his first dunk of the season. Jalen needs to be on the bench and have MoPete start because Jalen is just forcing bad shots, but the thing is he's also playing horrible defense.
Props to Mo Pete for the job on Ray. No excuses however, up 4 with a minute to go, should've won. Good win by the Sonics.
Damn, I've never seen Ray foul out, and even though he had a super game, we needed someone to step up in the last five minutes. That guy was AD, with some huge plays, including the gamewinner. Mega props to the Raps, they were excellent in the second half and probably unlucky not to come away with the win. And the two guys that got talked up in this thread, Fortson and Woods, both sucked

Seriously, I wanted MoPete to get the start instead of him. I knew he'd end up getting frustrated with his matchup and start jacking up shot after shot. Good thing Mitchell had the balls to sit him out for the second fourth quarter in a row cuz not only is his shot selection horrible but he's also a huge liability on defense. I also read this quote from Mitchell at the end of the game:<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"The guys that do the things that we ask them to do offensively and defensively are going to find minutes," said Mitchell, who did not single out anyone in particular. "The guys that are doing the things that they want to do are just not going to play."</div>Yep, I'm pretty sure he's talking about Rose on that one. It was a heartbreaking loss but when it comes down to it, I see more good than bad coming out of this one. We faced a team that blew out the Spurs, Nuggets, & Kings, and we came so close to beating them on their own homecourt. Although Carter didn't play a perfect game, it was good to see him attacking the rim again and taking advantage of his athleticism. Matt Bonner did a great job filling in for Marshall, MoPete had some key defensive plays and clutch 3-pointers down the stretch, Alston was once again playing solid, and Bosh also had a solid outing (what's up with him not getting any touches down the stretch though? He could've easily took it right at Evans). The final miss by Carter was disappointing but he had the right idea by taking it to the hoop and not settling for a fade-away jumper. If he just added a little more english to it or even dished it out to Bosh when he was under the bucket, then we would've came out with the win. Oh well, heartbreaking but at least the Raps got another chance to make up for it against Portland.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Chungster:</div><div class="quote_post">the Sonics will win a heart-breaker 95-92. Vince will have a another timid game.</div> Look who was almost correct. Vince has an average game throughout the whole game and worse yet, he blows an easy layup. How timid can he get? Vince has to be due for a monster game next game. By the way, is it just me or is Vince starting to emulate Kobe's game? His free throw form looks exactly like Kobe's.
it wasnt easy he had like 3 ppl in his face any he was on a bad angle i thought he was gunna dunk it until i saw that they triple teamed him
Close game, tough loss for the Raptors. Once Ray Allen fouled out, i thought the game was over, but then it got exciting as AD stepped up. Props to VC though for finally dunking on a breakaway.
i agree with the above posters, this game was infuriating from a raptor perspective. our payroll is front ended with two hugely flawed players in vince and jalen. jalen hasn't mastered the concept of team (ever notice he never argues on behalf of a fellow teammate) and vince who's flaws are well documented.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Chungster:</div><div class="quote_post"> Vince has an average game throughout the whole game and worse yet, he blows an easy layup. How timid can he get? The refs called alot of ticky tack fouls in this game, and they couldn't call the most important one.
As much negatives there are about this loss there are a few positives as well. The one thing I notice about this Raptor team is that they do not give up. Good decisioning on Vince's part to take it to the rack at the end. He was fouled so blatantly that it was disgusting. Maybe if the game were in Toronto he would have got the call.
Argh! It was a good game but we should have won this one if we got all of our free throws in! Ahh Jalen Rose is pissing me off, brick after brick, maybe we can trade him, if not i hope he can get back to his Indiana days. Vince needs to score more and just drive! Too many off balance shots, i know he can make them but he plays way better when he drives to the basket! When he got that airball with 20 secs left i think he faded away...why?? he was wide open...oh well...Blazers are next..
btw, in all the talk about jalen's benching and vince's layup miss we are forgetting that bosh was manhandled for large portions of the game by that evans kid. anybody suprised by that as much as i was?
Vince was clearly hacked on the last play of the game: 1st foul on last play: And the hack by Lewis at the end: Still not convinced? And i thought that the refs were gonna call fouls more closely this season I rest my case
alright settle down, we aren't investigating who shot kennedy, its just a basketball game and u probably won't get calls like that on the road. there is no definitive evidence that shard hacked him, his arms are extending over vince's but i don't know if he made any contact.
^ WHAT?!?!?!? look again man...you can see the arm on arm impact...and how it made the shot go up short
lol...how can you say there is no definitive evidence after looking at those pics and that gif. ??? as vince's arm is going up to take a shot, shard's arm is comming down on his...thats clearly going to, and DID alter his shot. imo, evidence doesnt get any more definitive lol
A ref won't call a foul on the last shot unless it's blatantly obvious, and it wasn't. And anyway, as I said in the Sonics forum, Ray fouled out on a Mo-Pete flop. You don't think that could have cost Seattle the game?
