Golden State Warriors (0-4) at Memphis Grizzlies (1-4) Friday, November 12, 5 PM PST At the FedEx Center in Memphis, TN Golden State, 4.0 GB (5th place, Pacific) Memphis, 3.5 GB (4th place, Southwest) Since it's late, not too much preview info; just the facts.
After looking at our recent box scores, the only reasonable explanation is that they don't know which basket is theirs, and keep flinging into the other teams' basket.
27% shooting 20-7-%-SHOOOOTTING! you have got to be kidding me! What the F---! I am seriously pissed off. What the HELL has happened to our team! The loss of NVE, Damp and Custodian is hardly to blame. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
17 blocks by the Grizzlies. Even Cardinal has a block on Murphy. No inside game Murphy getting stuffed by the 6'8 power forward known as the Custodian. Booyah! What a horrible game, we need to flush the toilet on this one. Mullin isn't helping Monty by locking these guys up for the next six years. These players on the roster are not Montgomery guys. We don't even have a legit center. It's like the rest of the league is telling us, we signed a backup center. It's true. He'll put up 8/10 with 3 blocks per game but he doesn't play the game the way a true center would. We need some inside scoring in the worst way in addition to know howing to set a good screen, how to shoot the ball, and how to make a free throw.... oh and play defense. But yeah I've given up pretty much on Murphy's man to man defense (post is okay), Dunleavy and Richardson's defense on anything is horrible! If you can't shoot at least play defense, that's the type of layer I always want is somebody that will make the effort to play defense. But some people can't play defense. It really bites. Get those hands up and start using your feet and anticipate. It's hopeless

It seriously sounded like there was lay up after layup against us. It sounded like when a memphis player got the ball we said, let me get out of your way. They took a step to the side and allowed a straight lane to the hoop.
What a game...What a Game. This game just didn't work in anyway, shape or form for the Warriors.Do any of you Warrior fans have hope still, because right now things look rather bleak for Golden State.
You never know. Optimistically I can say that they can start failing now and coming out strong when they finally get how the coach wants them to play. We could be coached under Musselman and I don't think it would do us well in the long run or it would get us to the playoffs this year, not enough coaching or execution to get it done in a close game. Our team direction and lineup doesn't allow for that promise of playoffs anyway (like wtf sign Jrich and Murphy so soon when they are restricted free agents?). Anyway, Montgomery's system is a little bit like Jerry Sloan, or a bit like Hubie Brown where you have to buy into the system to make it effective. Then when you have the right players like (utah getting some post players like Boozer, Okur in FA), and a healthy Matt Harpring and Curtis Borchardt, you have a good mix of shooters, close to the basket scorers, and they can all play defense (maybe not Okur, but that's because he's slower than Jake Tsaklidas, but that's forgiven since Okur's a center/power forward with awesome range and shooting touch). The size of those contracts and urgency to sign those players quickly must mean something must be brewing right? The length and size of those contracts was just ridiculous. If there was a survey of all warriors fans in the country, most would say this is mind boggling. There has to be some trade going on. One thing about Mullin is he isn't afraid to make trades happen and anything could happen with let's say Boston, Indiana or New Jersey. Okay now realistically speaking: The warriors do not have the right mentality to play Montgomery style of ball and the players aren't buying into it. It's going to be a long season and Mullin needs to do something in terms of trades or he will continue to look like the biggest idiot for locking up all these players and the players will continue to struggle like they don't care anymore or they're too scared to play because they'll be the biggest, richest laughing stocks in the nba if they aren't already now. Those contracts he signed Jrich and Murphy to are base year compensation status so the next two years will be really hard to trade those guys, but not impossible. Foyle and Fisher are hard to trade especially when Foyle is still viewed as a backup and Fisher is still a flopping, jack up a shot point guard who is also viewed as only good when he has Shaq and Kobe to give him an open look.
