    He should get up for that statement and prove the haters wrong. Instead he keeps jacking up brick after brick. The guy could build a new chimney and a fireplace with what he puts up there.

    I don't understand what Fisher did wrong in this game, though.

    He shot 50%, 15 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds in a matter of 25 minutes, but fouling out also.

    He outperformed everyone but Jason Richardson, in my opinion.

    However, I do realize that he's shooting 30% this season...but he shot 35% last year (for the entire year), so if his shooting is a problem, I figured the Warriors would see that before they signed him.

    Anyways, I'd really like to see the Warriors win these upcoming home games, because I'm still a fan of Derek Fisher. :thumbsup:

    (I can't say I like the Warriors...I don't like any other West teams) :P

    He doesn't make the team better. He doesn't create for anyone. What they need is someone that can dribble and get to the foul line like he was doing earlier when he had that big game.

    Well, I can't agree or disagree...but I'm sure you're right, considering I haven't seen a single Warrior game yet, being in Kansas.

    I will answer that question.

    I have been a fan since about 1992 when I first started playing ball and paying attention to sports. I started late. At that time, the Warriors were pretty good. As the losing seasons came, so did frustration. But with that frustration also came optimism. Optimism that this draft pick would help us or put us over the brink. So far, that has not happened. Some years offered more optimism than others. There is also optimism knowing that you cant be the worst team in the NBA forever. There is going to be a time when the Warriors will be good, they will be in the playoffs or win a championship and at that time there will be Warriors fans all over the place. And I will be one of them. Not only that, I will take pride in knowing that I am not a bandwagon fan, and that I have stuck with them through the good times and the bad...

    The bandwagon fan is nothing to aspire to, but it's hard to continue to support these guys. It would be one thing if they lost because the other team was much better, because of injuries, because of crappy ref calls, whatever. But they lose, and lose big, because they cannot do even the most basic things correctly. They airball open shots, they fail to protect the ball down low and get it slapped back in their faces, they pass into traffic, they try to run a motion offense but everyone is clumped together, they don't box out, they don't hit free throws, blah blah blah. If they executed and still lost, I could live with that. But their current play practically guarantees a loss, unless they play a team like Charlotte. And even there, I wonder if they would have beaten Charlotte if Charlotte's starters had all played.

    There are very good reason's why to be so frustrated as Warrior fans.It's been over a decade since the Warriors were even in the Playoffs,and since 1975 since they won their only championship in Oakland over the Washington Bullets.

    It's too bad,to see the Warriors when there getting somewhere all of a sudden fall apart.I Wish this team all the luck in the world to turn sadness and frustration to Sucess :thumbsup: .

    I am old enough to have watched the Warriors:
    1) with Nate Thurmond and Rick Barry;
    2) the heartache of seeing Thurmond traded to Cleveland;
    3) the joys of the 1974-1975 championship;
    4) the ache of losing in 1975-1976 to the Suns! when the Warriors had the best record in the league;
    5) the dark period of Russell Cross, etc.;
    6) the rise of Run TMC;
    7) the promise of 1994 with Webber/Spree/Owens/Gatling/Avery Johnson (man that team was fun to watch);
    8) the darkness since.

    The point is to remember the good times and hope for the best in the future. Anybody wish we had selected Luke Ridnour instead of Pietrus?

    Well isn't that Lituanian prospect supposed to be real good next draft? And I believe Lithuania is right below Latvia(Biedrins), no? I should know this. Or maybe the Warriors get that PG Chris Paul and he becomes a stud. And what is this, some new French prospect big man? Well maybe he'd go well with Pietrus? Haha I suppose that is how we keep optimistic. Chris Paul, JRich, Pietrus, Murphy, Biedrins...or maybe Dunleavy, JRich, Pietrus, Biedrins, Murphy, Andriuskevicius(Thank goodness for cut and paste)

    But I think I have been an upset Warriors fan for the past couple of offseasons(mostly during the offseasons rather than regular seasons) from all of the poor management moves. And this last offseason was just killer, no excuses.

    And I agree; play Biedrins. I don't understand why he isn't playing. Sure he's 18, but being too young shouldn't be an excuse, because clearly he is out hustling everyother Warrior out there and I thought this team wanted the young players to play together, and it's clear that they have nothing to lose right now. The offense I believe even runs better with him in there because he works inside for position and the perimeter players seem more willing to pass the ball inside to Biedrins because of this compared to the other big men(Foyle, Dale Davis, Cliff, Murphy).

    I usually don't feel this bad until about late January or February(even in the pathetic years of the late 90's). I don't like how things are going.

    Also doesn't Biedrins look older than Dunleavy? I thought that was pretty funny, but maybe it's just me.

    You know, I wanted Luke originally but Pietrus was also good.

    I agree we should play Biedrens. He's beaten up on older, stronger competition before. Just let him play small forward or power forward so he can get comfortable. He's got the attitude to become stronger and better so let him figure out where he is now so he can work on his game during practice and the offseason.

    A litle leson in geography! :mrgreen:

    Don't expect to recive some kind of spuerstar from Europe in next draft.
    Lituanian prospect M. Andriuskevicius 7-3 240 C (Lith) 1986 is 17, and has no experiance playing at high level at all. If GS will draft him, then Montgomery will hold him on bench for some 2 years.
    Johan Petro 7-0 260 C (France) 1986 the same. + I remember something about Biedrins outplaying him in 18 year old compitition.
    If you what to draft player who is able to help GS to get to the play-offs, then chose non-euro player, because euro players need time to adjust to nba. 4 example you remember from Olympic games, what refs are here in europe, and it is hard to adjust to that to.
    ---------------
    Dale Davis to Andris Biedrins:
    ...regular training...
    after a hit on Biedrins' hand ...

    Play stopped. There was an electric silence. A wide-eyed Davis was walking toward him. "You (expletive) flaming (expletive)," Davis exploded. "You don't get a foul call on a (expletive) little touch foul, you (expletive). You don't bring that (expletive) here. Get your (expletive) ass back on the floor and play. I don't want to hear that (expletive) out of you again. Get your ass back and play, you (expletive)."

    Unfortunately, i saw Montgomery in an interview answer that very question about Biedrins and his reply was he probably won't see much floor time and that they were taking it slow with him. Hey that worked so well with Dunleavy and Welsch, and Pietrus for that matter. I mean get the guy out there and play through the bad times now, let him grow and learn on the fly. He is surrounded by vets to help him along, and the core.
