The Miami Herald reported that Carl Peterson spent a lot of time with Patrick Surtains agent while at the combine. Speculation is that the Chiefs and Dolphins have already agreed on the compensation package and that only a contract negotiation is holding up the deal. Its thought that the deal would be Surtain for a 2nd(46th overal) and a mid-round pick in a future draft.
I had not heard about agreeing on the compensation package. Man, I hope we can work this out. We need someone with Surtain's skills badly. I was talking a little about this subject in either the KC or the NE forum as well (I can't remember which thread).

If So, draft Derrick Johnson @ #2 then in the @nd round draft Kay-Jay Harris(W Va), Betterson (Troy), or Marion Barber III (Minn) to fill the whole @ RB.
