no, no advertising of the iPod. they can have a sign or a banner or whatever up, but nothing on any clothing that would suck.

i am sorry, but you people are missing the point. is the nba an entertainment orgaisation or a prison? come on...so what if he listens to music before the game, let the guy do whatevere works for him or whatever. i say this with no connection to his commitment or the raptors play, just hope to make a point on how ridicilous some of these minor rules seem!

Vince just doesn't get anything he wants lol, no trade, team hasn't won, and now no IPod's before the game [IMG]</div>

WTF? That's the dumbest restriction I've ever heard in my entire life. Stu Jackson is truely an idiot. That's like saying you can't listen to music before the beginning of class in school.

[IMG] I agree with everything you say... especially the Stu Jackson is an idiot part.

It could be an advertising thing, they don't want him advertising the product.

It's only one game; what's wrong with you people? If Carter has a monster game next game versus the Clippers, all of you will be kissing his ass again.</div>

You could be right there, who knows. But here's the thing, he hasn't done much of anything this season. He's averaging a dismal 14.6 ppg and just recently scored 4 points, yes, that's right, 4 lousy points. Not superstar numbers by any means. Than, aside from that, he's only had one game where he's breached the 20 point mark, everything else has been 12, 15, or 16 points. Maybe he should stop secluding himself from everyone and start doing things with his team. Cause right now, he's not helping his team by not scoring anything. They're going nowhere fast, as they've lost 3 of their last 4. And beyond that, he's shooting a wonderful 38.1% from the floor. I don't understand why you praise him so much....I just don't get it.

its an organization yes. aka a business. if your boss says to you "i dont want you listening to an ipod at work" you either obey the rules set out by the company or go find another place to work. its that simple. the league is his employer...he is the employee. good work stu jackson

personally, im all for the rule. the nba needs to start putting rules like this in the league to keep pre-madonna ego's like vince's in check. only in professional sports are the "employees" in as much control as they are...and its sickening to be honest. these babys bitch and moan (vince in particular) about the most moronic things, and to top it all off...they are being paid a retarded amount of money...TO PLAY A GAME FOR A LIVING to boot.

bottom line is...nobody else in the nba does it...so why should he? its a normal thing to talk with your teamates, and hang out with your team at shoot around. to isolate himself from everyone hardly seems like team player mentality...and im glad that the league told him no.

wrong. its not like that at all. school isnt your employer. its more like your boss telling you that you cant listen to an ipod while you flip burgers or whatever you do. and your boss has every right to lay out rules like that. stu jackson is an idiot and i blame him for the destruction of the "vancouver" grizzlies...but he made a good call here for sure.

It's because of the logo's, they aren't allowed to wear that stuff, it isn't some isolated situation [IMG]

Is it serioyusly because of the logos? because people can tape up their stuff anr demove all logos etc,. thought it was becuase of it brining away from the team atmosphere.

    otherwise, its still stupid.

i dont think its to do with logos, i thought it had to do with the nba's dress code on the court, and headphones violating the dress code
