any1 watch the American music awards on sunday the 14th? its great to see kobe attending award ceremonies, etc. again. but when the host introduced kobe, he made this stupid/pointless shaq-kobe feud joke. also, while kobe was introducing the nominees, there were boo's all over...that pissed me off alot. i felt like punching the tv. but then other people started cheering to even it out so thats cool. however, he did seem kinda nervous/shaky while he was talking. i guess its gonna take a while for kobe to win back all the 'fans' he lost... here's the only pic i found from the event....
yeah that shaq joke was hilarious!! i think he was making fun of shaq in that letter. the way jimmy read it was so hilarious! but its sad to see people from LA boo kobe on stage. there are still a lot of kobe haters/shaq fans in LA but they were drowned out though by the cheers from the audience. its still nice to see kobe going out and doing what he used to do before all of this
Heres the video: http://s4.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=CB10B215...148F820FEA2DC69 . There were more cheers then jeers but KB is use to this s**t so I don't think he cares, remember Philly, or maybe he does because it was in LA. The joke Jimmy did was funny I think it was more intended towards Shaq not KB. Thanks KobeFour3ItsGood from LG.net.
It's kinda sad that he got booed in L.A but I guess there are a lot of bitter Shaq fans out there. Don't worry, eventually when the Lakers start winning, they will start to bandwagon. By the way, what did Kobe say about Shaq? What was the joke, I'm curious to know....
If you download the video you could find out, is only 7MB. The joke that Jimmy did is also there so check it out.
Those same people that booed him now will be cheering when Kobe does great things for this city like he has done so many times before. People forget soon about the happy things but that one little mistake that the man made they can remember. They need to let it go. It was nice seeing Kobe getting out and just doing his things.

WHAT THE DEUCE!!!
what? anyway, i hate people who are stupid enough to boo, thats so lame, why would you boo? stupid morons, anyway kobe is the best player in the legue and he will posterize shaq on christmas night and we will all buy the poster and put in our rooms.

After the game Jim Gray interviewed Kobe and asked if Kobe's feelings were hurt by the boos (keep in mind that Kobe's jersey had been retired at his H.S. the night before). Kobe said "yeah, my feelings really are hurt man". Now you guys are trying to say that he doesn't care? I realize that this is not what the thread is about, but it never ceases to amaze me how Kobe fans will have selective memory when it contributes to supporting your player.
Only Kobe could get booed at all-star games and awards shows Is there anywhere he doesn't get booed? hell I bet even his wife boo's the guy.
Let people boo all they want. No matter what Kobe does, those mindless people will always hate him, and I think he realizes that. Haha, there are still tons of NBA fans that are anti-Jordan, and will boo him for anything and everything he's ever done, yet he could've easily made their favorite players look like NBDL guys back in his prime.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting realdealbneal:</div><div class="quote_post">Let people boo all they want. No matter what Kobe does, those mindless people will always hate him, and I think he realizes that. </div> Well first of all, considering how many people hate Kobe I don't think that ALL of them are mindless. And from what I've seen on this forum, there are helluva a lot of mindless Kobe supporters. It's kinda like what Lance Armstrong said. People booed him when he won this year, and then cheered for second place. When he looked over at the people booing, they started to cheer for him . Kobe is no where near as dominant as Lance, but he deserves a lot of the hatred that he gets. We've been over all this though so I won't start listing all the stuff he's done. Every player in the spotlight has haters, not because people are mindless, but because every mistake that players make is blown out of proportion. Don't be fooled, Kobe cares about the boos.
Yeah, I remember the 2001 All-Star game. Jurassic brought up a good point about it. Kobe was hurt. The look on his face showed everybody on national TV he was hurt, the press conference that just displayed Kobe's anger really made everything clear he was disturbed by it, so I'm sure what happened at the AMA's really showed that he's not some type of god that everybody should kiss his feet, people just don't respect the huge mistake (let me correct you on that theclown1) that he committed. I sure don't either.
Before the trial and all of the drama with Shaq and Phil, you've had people that like Kobe and people that hate him. You have more that hate him now after the trail and the past season's drama. I think a lot of people boo him now because it's the popular thing to do. Me personally, I could care less about the allegations, the drama, or Kobe's personality. I don't know the guy, so I don't care about all of that. The guy is a great player, thats all that matters to me.

And also, when I say "mindless" people that boo him, I'm talking about those who go to Laker games and boo him because of his life off-court...when all of that has been taken care of, and has nothing to do with basketball. If you're gonna boo a player, do it for legit reasons. The Knicks were booed at home earlier in the season because they were performing badly and getting stomped by the Celtics. The Lakers were booed in the Finals against the Pistons at home because they were performing badly. Kobe gets booed for showing up at the AMA's, the VMA's, the Staples Center, McDonald's, a gas station...with pictures of him at each location, for no reason. I don't wanna see Kobe eating a burger...why boo him for that? If I boo Kobe, it's for a bad shooting night with no assists and a Laker loss.
