someone offered me this trade. i get G - Sam Cassell (MIN) F - Keith Van Horn (MIL) FG - Bobby Simmons (LAC) for G - Steve Francis (ORL). this dosent seem like a fair trade for me but i want to know what you think. my roster is already full so i would have to get rid of 2 of my players. I would proboly get rid of Antonio Daniels and Earl Boykins. thanks for you help.
Right now, Cassell is not playing well. He might still be ailing from that hip injury he suffered in the postseason. Bobby Simmons might not be starting when Kerry Kittles returns from his injury, despite the fact he's playing great. So, he might be a risk in taking. Keith Van Horn however, has been playing great this season. He's been a good number two option in Milwaukee and he might be having his best season in a while. Who knows though. If Simmons continues to start, Cassell gets it going, and KVH keeps it going, it might not be too unfair a trade. All depends on what you need I guess.
I agree KVH is soft, always hated...however he is also always underrated, especially in fantasy bball and especially this year, he's doing very solid, just check his stats so far. Cassell is doing ok, however, that's pretty usual, he's always been a slow starter and will pick it up as the season goes and should give you around 80-90% of what Francis would produce. Simmons is a nice throw-in, will get you decent points, even after Kittles returns. Add them up and I'd say you win, pretty convincingly, even though if you're going for name recognition, then yeah Francis' name is "worth" more, but unfortunately they don't have a catagory for that in fantasy bball!
