The Atlanta Hawks have pulled out there second victory of the season and that too against Tracy McGrady and his Houston Rockets. The Hawks are now 2-5 still in last place in the Atlantic but its good to see that there winning at least once in a while. Antoine Walker is having a career year and shooting 44% from the field but his free throw percentage is horrid standing at 50%. I think that this year they (The Hawks) might be able to not be the worst team in the NBA, there bench is doing great and they won today's game because of a 43-14 bench scoring advantage. Behind the leadership of Antoine Walker and the talent from the emerging Al Harrignton do you think that the Hawks can win enough to not be the worst team in the NBA this season?
No i alwasy knew that A-town wasn't the worst, IMO charlotte is. Atlanta obviously won't make the playoffs but growing players like harrington, smith and childress will improve and they will make the playoffs sometime in 4-5 years.
Right now, Atlanta is not the worst. And, for that matter, as stated above, Charlotte might not even be the worst. To me, it's the Bulls. They can't play as a team and are inconsistent beyond any stretch of the imagination. However, despite that, I still believe Atlanta has the potential, if you can call it that, to be the worst team once again. They're relying on a lot of young players and players who have no starting experience (Harrington). And, in my books, Walker isn't really a leader. The team has no real identity yet, except for being the supposed "pushover" of the league. They have talent though, don't get me wrong. Harrington is a great player, Walker, though inconsistent at times, can shoot the ball, and with Childress and Josh Smith, they have some potential future stars coming off the bench. The team has talent, they just don't have enough right now to succeed this year.
the hawks are alot worse then tha bobcats. the hawks have been absolutely horrible this season and i think this season will test their fans mental healthness.
