93-85 man that's a shame! sprewell had a great night with 24 points 4 asists 8/13from the field...garnett got his reb-points stats with 24 and 13 though in an ugly shooting night, doing only 9 out of 22 from the field and 6 tournouvers to add to the saying he wasn't himself...

saturday wolves go to kick some hornets ass i hope ...

You title the thread Miami by mistake playa...

Anyway, the third quarter killed the Wolves again tonight. The 3rd quarters have been a nightmare for the Wolves all season. I dont know whats up with the lack of aggressiveness this team comes out of hal-time with, they always look flat. And have a horrible time getting into offensive sets & rythems. I remember last year Flip complained that certain guys wasnt coming out of the locker room fast enuff during half-time to take part in the intermission shoot around. I dont know if thats a problem again this year. But the Wolves clearly lose thier focus from the end of the 2nd half to the start of the 3rd quarter. And it takes them way to long to get adjusted back into the game.

Anyway, Sammy is not being aggressive on a consistent basis. Sam has got to come out from the 1st quarter and really assert himself into these games. 4 shots, even tho he had some foul trouble & foul out, is unacceptable. I think it is more important to the Wolves that Cassell is involved in offense then Sprewell, cause of the importants of the Pick & Roll with him and KG. It attracts so much attention from defenses that it opens up opprtunities for Wally & everyone else.

I really wanted the Wolves to get both these games against the Heat & Pistons just to make a statement. But anyway I think the Wolves have to step up. And preform better as a team against the Hornets cause the turnovers. And the lack of production from Sam & Wally tonight were a killer.

I thought that Sam should have had more shots. They tried to make a game of it late, but it just didn't happen. Answer me this, Sheed is called on a foul for trying to root Kandi in the post, but KG gets called for the offensive foul? Explain that. Griffin and KG got their shots blocked because they were tentative when they should have jumped into the defenders. What about the shot-clock violation that should have been called a foul when KG was mugged by 3 Pistons? Oh well, the refs were consistent on one thing: making some bad calls. Not only against the Wolves and being inconsistent on the types of fouls called adds to that.

Of course they are going to fall to the Kings of the league. What do you think we are the Heat, lol.

That's okay. Just remember, Wolves are 3 - 1 against the Pistons in the last 2 seasons. Also remember to mark up a loss when you come to the Targer Center.

F.Y.I. - It's the kings of the league, not the Kings of the league.

Pacers were also 3-1 against the Pistons in the regular season last year but we all know what happened in the playoffs.

I'll tell you guys straight up. Until you start getting consistant production from Cassel, you are in serious trouble. There is really no excuse for the Wolves to not be the best team in the league right now. Wally and Troy are both healthy. You have one of the best three point shooters in Hoiberg. The MVP and best player in the game is on your team. Players who know their role like Mark Madsen. Plenty of former allstars. You should be dominating, plain and simple.

I agree Cassell, is the 2nd most important player on the Wolves. And it doesnt really seem like he knows his role, of what Flip wants him to do. I think Cassell needs to give this team about 17ppg & 7apg for this team to be at its most effective level. I know the wolves want to play a balance style getting everyone involved but I dont think they are most effective that way. The Wolves are best when they run alot of pick & roll situations with Cassell & KG cause it opens up the floor. And keeps the defense off balance. Cassell averaging 13 & 5 is unacceptable. He has to come out & start asserting himself into games alot earlier then he has been.

Sammy normally gets off to a slow start to seasons, so Iam just hoping that is whats going on. But when Cassell doesnt play well, the Wolves dont win, Its that simple. Cassell really didnt get it going until about December, last year, so we shall see. He'll get it going consistently soon, I hope.

It's always disappointing to me when players fall off after their first allstar appearance. I think that the Wolves could be one of the best teams of all time if Spree was consistant.

Cassell never played to get the all-star recognition, if he was playing for that he would have quit along time ago. After they ripped him off every year basically as a Buck. So I think you are a little off base saying that he fell off, like its because he got the All-star spot already. Sam will still have a strong year. Sam just isnt use to sharing alot of minutes at point with another player. He hasnt really shared this type of minutes with anyone since his days of backing up Kenny Smith, so its going to take him some time to adjust to only playing 30 minutes again compared to 38 minutes again. With the shorter minutes, he is playing he just has to learn to assert himself into the action a little earlier. Cassell has always been a 2nd-half of the game type player. But the Wolves now need him to start involving himself from the opening tip. Once he makes that adjustmen he'll be just fine. Dont precieve him as taking that so-called "Gary Payton type fall off", he took last year in LA,just yet. Its only 9 games in, Sammy will get it together.

First of all, the Pistons ARE champs until someone takes it from them. Not debatable.

As much as I would like to see the wolves succeed, they aren't exactly a model of consistancy. Well they make the playoffs every year but last year was the first time that they got it done, and even then they didn't get it done.

As for Sam, I wasn't insulting him when I said that he fell off. It's just that so many players make the team once of twice, and then don't bring it as hard it the future. Rasheed, NVE, Wally, etc. There is a reason why Sam's name isn't mentioned as one of the arguable best pgs in the league.

Need4Sheed do not troll other teams boards by baiting just because their team lost, I certainly wouldn't like that happening to my forums and I'm sure neither would you.

You win and lose with class.
