They want to see if Sesay is good enough to replace Dunleavy or Dunleavy's backup when they finally trade him.
I hope is doing some progress at least training with GSW team. On other hand it did not help Darko much.... I bet that if Montgomery would of drafted Deng,Jefferson, Iguodala or somebody else, he would keep him on bench too, saying that he is not ready 4 NBA.
If I was Biedrens I would just concentrate on lifting weights HARD! If you know you are not going to play I would bulk up. I would love to see him gain 20-30lbs between now and next season then he could come in and play center since that is where he prefers to play, down low...
Isn't Montgomery supposed to like the young guys? Isnt that why we replaced him for Musselman? I would also like to see Biedrens get more playing time, instead of Sesay.

If he will gain gain 20-30lbs, then he will lose quicknes that he has and other abilities, on the other hand, montgomery is not leting him play mainly because he needs to bulk up. I read that that is his priority now, and that he is going through a program to gain more weight. We have the same interests - you dont need wasted darft pick, we don't need other wasted talent!

To be honest, it would not hurt Biedrins' quickness to put on weight, or rather, muscle. Pau Gasol was able to do it and although it wasn't more than 10-20 lbs, it helped him alot and he was still able to run and maneuver. There's a point at the body where a lot of muscle does hurt flexibility, but this can be avoided by simple stretching excerises. On the other hand, in the NBA, playing him against someone stronger has a great chance to cause injury. Without enough muscle, he's going to be injured if he plays down low. All successful centers and big men in the NBA get bigger and more defined as they get older, as well as other players. I mean, take a look at young Michael Jordan vs. prime Michael Jordan for an example of how muscle can help. Long story short, all evidence shows that building muscle (not weightlifter type, but at least strengthening and conditioning) can only help.
All that leaning could mess up your back when you go into the post or defending someone in the post. Shaq is a back ruiner to almost any center in the league and think about how Biedrens would be to any other nba player with a big body.
I dont care if he does have to gain weight, he should at least get 5 mins in garbage time so he can at least get some game action...
