<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Stojakovic was never directly quoted stating a desire to play in Chicago, although the story's headline read "Stojakovic would love to be a Bull." The Sun-Times repeated the claim in Tuesday's editions, stating, "Stojakovic told the Sun-Times the Bulls would be one of the teams he'd love to play for ..."

"I never said that, but they wrote that," Stojakovic said. "They figure just by having lot of Serbian people living in Chicago, a lot of Greeks, what does that mean? I never picked any cities or teams.</div>
    some interesting stuff

I'll say this is Intersting stuff here.Never even heard that Peja was going to the Bulls,or the thought it was even being entertained.

Well at least Peja confirmed this not to be true...Whew

yeah, that whole bulls thing was one of the things I was pointing to as to why I didnt think he was going anywhere.

if you want to get on a team with a shot at winning the title, you are not going to the bulls (unless of course you happen to have a time machine)

Like i said earlier,I Never heard of the rumour until i read that article link you provided here.

It wouldn't make sense anyways since Peja want's to be on a winning team like you had mentioned, and the Bulls aren't winning games right now,so it was nothing more but a rumour.

Just think about it, who on the entire roster of the Bulls (no offence to Bulls fans) would the Kings want (barring Kirk Hinrich because we already have 2 of the best point gods in the L)? Why would the Kings make such a move? This seems like a little bit of wishful thinking on the part of the Sun-Times.

19 year old Luol Deng (16.7 PPG, 6.5 RPG), 7-Foot-1 Tyson Chandler, and a first round draft pick and I'd pull the trigger.

    Reasons:

    1. Future Stability. Your protecting your future with two young players who show unlimited potential. Not to mention a lottery bound draft selection to possible aquire a replacement starter down the road, Webber and Christie aren't going to be around forever.

    2. A Replacement for Peja. He doesn't want to be here so lets just get it over with. I know this trade doesn't help this season but more so for future impact. Deng is leading Rookies in scoring at 16.7 per game, he's a solid rebounder, He's an accurate 44% shooter, and he'll add athleticism and defense. At just 19, his potential is unlimited, I'll certainly take my chances.

    3. Chandler is another big body to clog the paint for Sacramento. Standing at 7-Foot-1, Chandler can provide depth to Sacramento's depleting bench, and he could step in without question and produce if Webber once again falls to injury. He's also insurance for the future, figuring Webber only has a few good years left in those knees. When Webber is ready to move to the bench for the final years of his career, Chandler will be more than ready to take the torch and produce as Sacramento's starting PF. He's still just a few seasons removed from high school, but I see a double-double machine in the future...

I would certainly pull the trigger on this deal...

Chicago trades: SF Luol Deng (19.2 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 1.8 apg in 32.0 minutes)
PF Tyson Chandler (9.6 ppg, 9.2 rpg, 0.8 apg in 27.4 minutes)
Chicago receives: SF Peja Stojakovic (19.3 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 1.6 apg in 38.9 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -9.5 ppg, -12.5 rpg, and -1.0 apg.

Sacramento trades: SF Peja Stojakovic (19.3 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 1.6 apg in 38.9 minutes)

PF Tyson Chandler (9.6 ppg, 9.2 rpg, 0.8 apg in 27.4 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +9.5 ppg, +12.5 rpg, and +1.0 apg.

    TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to Chicago and Sacramento being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Chicago and Sacramento had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement

it would work money wise... I dont know too much about how they would fit in with the kings offense. in reality the +/- of the ppg that would be added to the kings, really isnt that much because there is no way chandler is going to see that much playing time. The kings would at least in the short term get the short end of the stick on that one... but if you are looking down the road, that might be a different story.
dont know how good Deng is, but his numbers so far this year are pretty good. that might change if he were to move out west though
