They need to try and limit him as much as possible. If it means hack a Shaq, so be it. If he gets going there's no stopping him, but if he struggles so will the Heat. Prediction This game could go either way. The Jazz have had one days rest, so fatigue shouldn't be a problem like it was vs. Orlando. Most of the outcome of this game depends on how Arroyo defends Wade, and what Shaq does. I'm going to predict for the first time this season a Jazz loss. Heat 96 Jazz 91
To be honest, I really am thinking about going to buy a Kirilenko jersey and watching this game with all of my friends at the college tomorrow...and I really don't even like the Jazz all that much because they're in the West.
I'm interested to see how the Jazz deal with Shaq and Haslem. The Jazz usually have the size advantage, but this will be one of the first games they are actually undersized in the frontcourt. I think the Jazz should actually start Raja Bell to defend Jones. He's a great on the ball defender and has a good enough shot to keep Jones from cheating on defense. Giri is a more consistent offensive player, but Jones will eat him alive on defense. Arroyo vs. Wade should be another intense matchup. Arroyo might not be adjusted to the speed of the NBA, and having to guard Wade after coming back from an injury is going to be tough on him. Steve Francis had a field day in their latest loss, and Wade plays a similar style. The key to this game for the Jazz to win will have to come from its bench. The Jazz have a deeper roster and they are going to need the bench to outplay the Heat bench because the starters are a wash.
If Arroyo was at 100%, I would have no doubt in my mind that the Jazz would win this game. But with Arroyo not at 100%, I'm afraid it might be another long night for the Jazz. I expect Wade to go at Arroyo hard, especially after the hard time Carlos gave him in the Olympics. Yet, I think Kirilenko will have a great all-around game especially if he is guarding Butler and Butler is guarding him. Can I say this game is too close to call for my prediction?
Heat 107 Jazz 105 in OT. Dwyane Wade had a monster game, and hit a game winner that rattled around. Jazz should of won this one, a real tough loss.
Wade and Shaq were playing like beasts! If we keep this up, we will be in the Finals for sure. Good game and good luck against the Hawks.
I didn't see the game, but it seemed to be a close one. Wade had a monster game, I think Wade is making more of a name for himself in S. Florida than Shaq. The Jazz should of won this game, I read that the Heat missed half of their free throw shots, the Jazz really should of capitalized on that. I also read on another forum that the game was called heavly for Dwayne Wade and the Heat, since I didn't see the game I am not going to waver either way, but I do not doubt it though.
Dwyane Wade is simply amazing. With Shaq and Haslem fouled out, he just took over. He couldn't be stopped, and deserved to make the shot to win it. The Jazz were unlucky, they let the Heat back in it and really should've won this one. There is little you can fault the Jazz on, although the defense could've been improved. They just have to not let this get them down, as Atlanta have been surprising teams and wont be easy. The Jazz can't let this get them down and just focus on the positives.
I was at work, and wasn't able to watch the game..... Although I did hear that with a few seconds left of 4th quarter, Jazz were up, Dwyane drove in for final shot, and it got clean swatted by Kirilenko.......... But they called a foul, allowing him to hit 2 freethrows and send it into overtime. Can't refs use replays during these situations? Apparently the block was as clean as it gets. Anyways, Dwyane is incredible....... too bad we lost this one.....
Great game by both teams and Wade was unstoppable. The foul on AK47 at the end was a questionable one. He barely nicked Wades hand after he got a piece of the ball. I'm pretty sure the ruling is your hand is considered part of the ball after you get your shot off. In which case it was a blown call by the refs. The Jazz struggled with Shaq for most of the game, but once Shaq fouled out Boozer went to work in a big way and the Jazz were a lot more aggressive. I still think the Jazz made a mistake not starting Bell. Wade got far too comfortable early in the game and the more shots he made the more confident and aggressive he was. With the Suns & Sonics winning, the Jazz slided a few spots down in the west.
no one noticed the WICKED crossover Wade put on Raja?(last play of regulation before Kirilenko fouled Wade) WOWOW what a move, Raja flew 15 feet and fell

I couldn't see who the player was who went flying, but he bit, and he bit hard on that crossover. I think Bell actually tripped over one of his own players, which is why he went as far as he did, but Wade broke his ankles, knees, and hip on that play.
