Throughout his growing process, he was "Da Kid". He has grown out of that role, and people sympathized with him when he could not get out of the first round. Alot of our games were not nationally televised for some time, so they knew that when they saw him, they were going to get a show. The point of my post is that I feel this way....Kevin Garnett is one of the elite players in the league, but (sometimes deservedly) doesn't always play that way. I mean, Kandi is rooted by Rasheed and Sheed gets called for the foul, but when Kevin Garnett is in the same predicament, the foul is called on him. What I mean is, when he was thrust into one of the highest elite player status levels (League M.V.P.) there comes a level of responsibility. The Kevin Garnett that played against the Kings (in the playoffs AND in the season) last season was a shade of that. In those games, it looked like the opposition would need 8 players AND David Stern to stop him. Kind of like when people said that he was punked by Peeler. Not because of the incident, but becuase of his play for the rest of the game. Sometimes Kevin Garnett is too unselfish, and I feel that it needs to be to the point that he is triple-teamed in crunch time....and he still almost wants to take the shot...Not take it (because sometimes it's stupid to try in that predicament). The look that he had when he was getting off of the floor after Peelers initial elbow (the one for Wally) is the player that we need to see (http://www.nba.com/gallery/semifinals_2004.html) On May 16th. I know that he is playing great, but in crunch time, he needs to hear his name the way we have heard in the past with other superstars (Example...It's Michael Jordan time).
