This is kind of a funny analysis. I'm glad the NFL stood up to it.

    NFL BODY MASS INDEX LINK

To give you an idea of how stupid this is, a 6'3 quarterback would have to weigh between 148 and 199 pounds. 200 would be considered overweight and 240 would actually be considered obese.

Looks like all those 6'3 170 QBs at the combine just had their stock rise....RIIIGGHHT!

Not that bad...he only has to cut 60 pounds to get back into the normal range. [IMG]

I'm 6'2" & 185 which equated to 23.8. That is in the upper reaches of normal.

Who the hell came up w/ the breakdown? Let me guess, the fashion & modeling industry.

Speaking of Fat QB's anyone know what happened to Jared Lorenzan from Kentucky? He was signed by The Giants before the season and from what I heard had the best arm in the giants camp, did he make the practice squad or was he released or did he leave football althogether?

Haha, Jared Lorenzan is a fat QB actually. Perfect example of what overweight really is. Now as far as where hes at in football I have no clue, I dont think hes on the Giants roster from 2004 is he?

I'm 6'2 and I'm "Down" to 216... If I weighed what I'm supposed to weigh, I'd be nothing!

I'd say 205 is average for a QB these days... And they have more muscle than I do.

Good question. When I saw that KC made a comment a few posts ago, I thought he was going to bring up that name. He could tell you what happened to him.

I don't get why Fat QB's are bad, so what if they worked on their arms better than their abs.

?? I don't know of very many fat QBs - this thread was pointing out a fallacy.
