there will always be altercations in games between players, no matter how much you dislike a team or player, remember they are people too, with emotions, and they too, are allowed to be angry.
It is a disgrace to see players being ushered out of the stadium and see fans dumping drinks on them. Those "fans" should be banned forever.

Did you see what happened during the pistons pacer game omg. Fighting fans! I can't believe what I saw, that was nuts. Fans where punching the hell out of pacers and throwing beer on them. Way to go Austin Crosher though he took it so good.

Fans don't do these type of things to PROS! Their lucky they didn't break every bone in their body. The fan that threw the beer was just totally out-of control. I think he should be arrested.

someone close this retarded thread. you didnt need to post a whole new thread just for that.

besides...think about it. would any of this have happend if ron artest had just kept his cool and not run out to fight the fans? blame it on ron artest and his lack of self control.

Not hardley! Blame it on Wallace and his thuggish attitude and the cowardly Pistons fans.
It was totally ridiculus what the fans were doing at that game. Throwing beer at one of the most respected head coaches? What are they thinking?!

i posted this thread the same time the other was posted...we onnly need 1 of these threads open though, so mods can close it.
if you were artest, what would you do? In the heat of the game, can you honestly say you can calmy walk away? It is easy to say "do the right thing" when you're observing from a 3rd person's view.

I saw the guy who threw the beer, it was some dumb nerdy white dude....I mean when Artest basically flew to him...im sure he got hurt quite easily...

I'll give props to Artest, he had full control till that dumb ass threw something...

Ben on the other hand can be blamed for the escalation...

oh so its ben wallace's fault? LOL! think about it...would wallace have reacted the way he did if artest had'nt cheap shotted him the way he did? it was the end of the game, pacers were way ahead...its totally uncalled for to foul a guy that hard in that situation...and so what...ben pushed him...that makes it his fault that a fan throws a beer at a taunting artest.

artest started it with an uncesessary hard foul...then followed it up by running into the crowd to start fights...thats what set it all off.

    i just couldnt disagree more...

first of all, you can see from one angle that the guy artest went after wasnt even the guy who threw the beer...it was the guy in the blue sweater and white had to grabbed artest from behind after and threw a few shots at him.

secondly...how can you blame ben wallace for inciting a riot??? maybe artest shouldnt have fouled him so hard in that situation. totally uncalled for. there has been thousands of pushing matches in the nba...how many of them turned into riots? never..thats because this is prolly the only time a player couldnt restrain himself and ran into the crowd

Well, before I saw sports center, I did not know he hit the wrong person...but besides that...its to blame everyone...Pistons fans..Ben Wallace..and yes to some degree ron artest for running into the crowd..

but IMO, after being shuved by Ben wallace and hearing all the mockering from the pistons fans..and then finally have a beer thrown at you.. will want you to act on the situation..I'm not sayin what Artest did was right but it wasnt wrong either...I wouldn't let anyone abuse me like that...seriously how ARROGANT are these Pistons fans..their team winning the championship and thinking their the shit to push any team around....please...

Ben made contact with Artest's face -- that's an automatic ejection. Plus, he kept going after Artest, and he threw a towel at him and wouldn't let up for over a minute. He deserves a suspension.

Ben had a legitimate case in pushing Artest, but it was primarily the fan's fault. It was funny how Artest was resting on the table while everyone was going crazy [IMG]

Artest foul wasn't that hard! Wallace overreacted. He should have kept his cool. The good part of this is that we got to see a great part of NBA History. This should go on The NBA History site.

Any of those fans who were in the seats that were involved in the fight that have season tickets should have their seat suspended for the rest of the season.

If I had season tickets close to the court I wouldn't attend games that were going to be close.

Just because of how close all those fans seats really were, we have to believe they all had season tickets. Most of the time, if you have those kind of seats you do.

Yea you just don't get seats that close for one game. But I seriously wouldn't attend games that emotins were going to run high.

Living in Europe and seeing football(soccer 4 you in USA) I'm used to seeing fans fighting but I never thought that it would also happen this big in NBA. I thought the NBA fans are people and not idiots. I cant believe this has happened. I was some on tv. We dont get alot of things from the NBA here in holland but this was on the news. So it was so big that they even talked about it on the news here in Holland.

I hope this will never happen again

imagine if 5 of the pacers players were suspended. then they would only have 5 players. lol. im just glad that some players like Austin Crosher and Eddie Gill didnt get involved. i also noticed that Rasheed Wallace didnt get in the fight but was actualy trying to stop it. im glad that Sheed did the right thing considering his technicle fouls history.

No, if I'm not mistaken they'll rotate the suspensions. For the players that were involved - maybe two guys will be suspeneded for their 5 days, then after that two more, etc.

You have to have a minimum number of players dressed in uniform, and for them to settle everything they would do a rotation.
