Regarding what the players did, it was wrong, but I'm not suprised. I would of done the same thing Artest did. I just feel bad for Pistons fans because they're taking all the heat for one dumbass' decision to throw beer at a player and the other fans for throwing punches like they serious when any one of them would of been knocked the f out trying to start with some 6'7" ball player. This whole thing sucks cause its never going to be forgotten and right now I just feel real bad for all the other Pistons fans, all basketball fans for that matter.
Is somebody working on the video link? We wanna see what happened... And yeah Artest was supposed to contain his emotion but the truth is only a few could after being thrown with a beer like that... I would do the same thing, if I was as strong as him the fans of Detroit are barbars... they think they can bully whoever that enters into their arena...
It doesnt matter who you are what you are doing or why you think you might be justified in your actions... as a fan, you do not EVER throw anything at a player or on the floor. as a player, you do not ever react towards a fan that is a dumbass. those fans that were throwing stuff should have charges brought against them and those players who were punching fans should have charges brought against them and suspensions for the remainder of the season. flat out. there are no excuses for either sides of this.
I don't think Iv'e ever seen so many members on JBB at one time. ^ There shouldn't be any season long suspensions and you shouldn't ever throw anything at a player good point harbingerofdoom.
Hey It's all Artest fault First he did push Ben hard and he didn't relize that he messed with the wrong man. Ron shouldn't have gone into the stand that was just dumb. now who is going to get suspended Ron , Jackson,O'Neal and ben
Killer fight. But as I said in the other two threads, this shows how alot of Detroit Fans are a disgrace. Not all, but alot were demonstrated right there. And don't take it like I'm saying other cities don't have bad fans, each city has their share. Either way, There are gonna be some huge suspensions. damn!
I don't think it was the foul on Wallace that set off the Pistons fans (and while I think that you NEVER push a guy from behind when he's in the air - thats the best way to get someone hurt - Wallace definately over-reacted, probably out of frustration) but the fact that Artest was lying on the scorer's table, hands behind his head, lounging like nothing happened. Thats what caused the guy to throw the beer. And while Artest was preening a bit, buying a ticket doesn't give you a license to do what ever you feel like. I played ball in Europe for the last 2 years and while those fans are damn near on top of you in most gyms, they never lay a hand on you. It's called restraint. Everbody that threw a beer, popcorn or bottle was on tape and I hope they enjoyed the game, cause its the last one they're ever going to at auburn Hills. My prediction: Wallace gets 10 games for starting it, DC gets 2 automatically for leaving the bench, Artest 7 for leading the charge into the stands, Jackson gets 5 for following him and the rest of the guys will get fines ranging from 10 - 50 grand.

Whats sad to is Jermaine is being carried into the locker room and fans were pouring drinks all over him,pretty messed up. Also the foul wasnt even that bad, deffiantly an overeaction form Ben, but remember his brother just died, he was probaly really emotional.I have lost all respect for the Pistons fans involved in that incident, I hope they are all prosecuted because what they did was unexceptable.
Guys I agree that it was inappropriate of Artest to hit the bogans but don't write around saying it's inappropriate as if you're Bunda Marias or the Popes... admit it if you were Artest you would do the same thing... players are humans, but they are people too not angels... the fan who threw the beer should be banned forever his life... anyway, I don't understand how could you Detroit organization allow alcoholic drinks into a sports arena? It's no nightclub... might as well bring the cigarettes and drugs.

Artest should be suspended for 20-25 games, he is just wacked. There was no need for jumping into the stands and start a riot. I was proud for Big Ben who finally set Artest stright. Were any people here at JBB at the game? This makes Philly fans look good...hehe.
hey guess what. reports on espn say that artest goes after the worng guy in the crowd at first. the guy that artest bashed there head on the floor was the wrong guy. supposedly he didnt throw the drink at artest. all i can say is wow. The guy that threw the drink at artest hit artest later after artest had already beat the other guy down. so in return artest beat the stuffings out of him. hey some guy walked on the floor afterward said something to artest so artest clocked him too. then Jermaine o neal came and did a sliding knockout punch on the guy and left him on the floor. woah now all i can say now is how much is this guy going to sue artest.
I feel bad for some of the fans. A lot of inocent people got some bruised jaws and black eyes Did anyone see Artest hit dat guy courtside and Stephen Jackson comin outta nowhere
