Holy crap. I've never seen anything like that in an NBA game. I guess the question at this point will be who gets suspended and for how many games. Several years ago, Vernon Maxwell went into the stands and punched a heckling fan, and he got suspended for 10 games or so. For those that don't know, Ben Wallace went after Artest after a foul, they were separated, a fan threw a beer at Artest, and he went ballistic. Fans were punching Pacers, and Pacers were punching fans. It will be interesting to see what happens.
I'm pissed, I stopped watching the game and I missed the fight. If anyone finds a video of this fight, I will be in your debt.
i truly think ben wallace should be fined greatly. the foul of artest was not that hard to react the way he did. then ben wallace tried to provoke artest to erupt by getting all in his face and pushing him. i just have to say the fan that thre the beer at artest is ignnorant and obviously retarded. why would u ever provoke a man like artest. then artest just jumped in the crowd and whooped his a@@. yeh lol. it was hilarious.
It was kind of funny but very sad. It is all the influence of alcholol *sigh* dont drink and throw the beer at players folks
I thought Artest showed impressive restraint to not react after Ben Wallace wrongly went after him. The Pacers should have pulled him towards the bench, instead of allowing him to recline on the press table fully exposed. Hell, I find that kind of stuff quite entertaining. I wouldn't want it to happen regularly, but every once and a while it can spice up an NBA season. Of course, it wasn't my team being attacked by violent fans so my perspective is a little different.
I am shaking all over, and I cannot believe what I just saw. I just don't know what to think about this...

Pacers are my favorite team, and artest is my favorite player.

Artsest punched the dude in the face but, I really can't blame him. Expect lawsuits, and all types of stuff against the NBA, Detroit Security. This doesn't look good for the pacers..i just saw it again on the news..artest threw punches, stephen jackson threw punches, and worst of all jermaine oneal threw a punch @ fans. They're all gna be suspended. I don't know if tinsley was involved he was trying to get to the stands but I dont' know if he got in.

As a professional you have to remain calm despite it being unfair to hit the guy back. This fight was worse than the Knicks/Pacers and Heat games by far!
Detroit fans have lost respect from me. Obviously they should be mad but quit the throwing of the drinks that was a killer fight with JAckson, Artest, JO. I expect some 15 game suspensions

Yea the game was stopped and the Pacers won, but those were some stupid fans, the guy deserved to get knocked by Artest.

Artest has history an u know what he was doing to Wallace. Artest is a cheep player an u know the play was a cheap play. Atleast he will have plenty of time to play around with music after this one.
