This may be surprising because Shaquille O'Neal is always the key to the game, however Shaq is going dominate regardless and there is nothing that can be done about that. But at the same time Shaq is not going to put up all of the Miami Heat points, he is going to need help from his supporting case as well. That?s when Dwyane Wade comes in the picture. As far as the supporting cast goes, it all starts with Dwyane ?Flash? Wade. Thus far in this young NBA season, he has been playing exceptionally well. His play so far in this season has been him in the upper echelon among the likes of the sophomore sensations such as LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony. Heading into this game, Dwyane Wade went for a career high 39 Points against the Utah Jazz and also came up with his first buzzer beater of his young NBA career. So expectations are high for Dwyane Wade heading into this game. As for Allen Iverson, he is going to be heading into this game as if it was his last. Each and every single night he plays his hardest and this game isn't going to be any different. Thus far in this season, he has been the playmaker that the 76ers hoped him to be. He's looking more to set up his teammates and trying being the leader that he promised to be. So far, his season averages are 26.4 PPG to go along with 7.4 APG. Against, the Miami Heat Iverson has done fairly well. Last season the 76ers went 3-1 against the Miami Heat. However, this is a completely different team, and the most notable change is Shaquille O'Neal. O'Neal alone changes the team whole complexion, and O'Neal alone can ruin Iverson plans in terms of getting the ball into the paint in which he can score or dish the ball out due to the pandemonium that he causes once he gets deep into the paint. ____________________ Keys To The Game <font color="DarkRed">Philadelphia 76ers</font> <ul>Contain Dwyane Wade and Co. Now that Korver is on the floor the court will open up some in which can also give Allen Iverson and others the opportunity to take their man one-on-one, and with Iverson speed and quickness that?s the last thing the defender needs. Not to mention, Kenny Thomas has also been feeling the perimeter shooting lately, so Udonis Haslem cannot underestimate Thomas and Haslem must step out to guard the perimeter here and there.[/list] __________________ Personal Prediction- I think the 76ers will take this game. But they MUST contain Wade and company. I can't stress it enough on how important that factor is especially with the way Wade has been performing as of late. So if they can do that, and stay aggressive on the boards and at the same time attack the paint, I think the 76ers will take this game. 76ers 99, Heat 86
Are you joking, kidding or stupid. 99 to 86 for the Sixers?! a 13 point blowout?! That would only happen if Wade and Shaq get injured in the 1st quarter.... come on now, let's have a valid prediction.
My Prediction is that the Heat win by 9. The score will be 97-88. Dwayne Wade will score 26 and Shaq will score 20. Allen Iverson will score 21 points in a losing effort.
Nice preview Avery. Your Keys to the Game are right on point. I think the 76ers are gonna use the Pick-n-Roll to exploit Miami as that seems to be a weak point for the Heat (although they have improved on it). Allen Iverson can score many PPG but he does it at the expense of 20+ FG attempts a game. One of the keys for Miami will be to keep him to a low FG%. That alone makes it harder for his team to win and Miami will be capatilizing on that. Also Miami should try and keep from fouling AI as he can and will get many points from the charity stripe. Kyle Korver is a big concern for Miami as he seems to have a real hot hand from the perimeter and can attack the basket as well. The 76ers and AI will be smart to let him be a primary scorer if they want to win. I'm gonna take Miami to win this by 9pts. They have a lot of firepower offensively (even on the bench believe it or not ) and they have players that can guard the 76ers main threats (AI - Wade, Keyon Dooling / Kyle Korver - Eddie Jones, Shandon Anderson). Plus they are playing at home Note to Avery: Add Sunshine Network to the channels for us South Floridians

Iverson will not be playing due to a injury that Bruce Bowen caused in the game vs the Spurs. http://www.nba.com/sixers/news/injury_report.html thnx to Avery for the link in the Sixers forum. My predictions for the key players in this game are as follows Shaq: 32 Points( Big game I expect gut feeling.) Wade:28 Points(good game for Wade too) Kyle Korver: 19 Points Andre Iguodala: 17 Points Kenny Thomas: 14 Points Thats who I feel will have a big game. For the Heat I have a feeling Shaq and Wade will decimate the Sixers while the rest of the team doesn't do much. The Sixers will spread the ball around a lot but it wont be enough. Prediction: Heat by 19
Believe it or not just because AI isn't there doesn't mean it's gonna be easier on the Heat. All this means is the ball is gonna be distributed more and if enough players are shooting a good percentage (40% or better) that makes it a bit tougher for the Heat.
Heat by 10. Dalembert and Jackson will be exposed pretty bad against Shaq...but I see Korver stepping up, along with Iguodala, and surprising alot of Sixer fans in this game. Who's going to play Wade in this game? This might be nasty. If Iverson was in, I'd call a closer game, but the Heat would still pull away with the W.
Since Iverson is out, I'll say the heat take it by 15+. Iverson is the 76er's first, second, and possibly third scoring option. Now who is going to shoulder the scoring load? Kyle Korver, Willie Green, or Iggy? There all capable but a lot younger and compared to the talent the heat have Im gonna say heat take it.
Wade just came off a monster game and uplifting game for him. He just hit a buzzer beater... I think that effect will carry through to this A.I less game. There's basically noone who can guard Wade on the Sixers anymore. Wade will have a ferocious night, maybe on the level of 34, 9, 7, shooting about 54%. Shaq willl also dominate.

Any team can defeat any other team in the NBA on any given day. Don't be surprised if you see the Bobcats getting a win over the Pistons one of these day. Heck, they almost pulled of a major upset the other day, when they nearly defeated the Utah Jazz. This is the NBA my friend and things like this happen all the time. Also, remember that Iverson was supposedly going to be playing, so I don?t see any reason why my outcome would be out of this world. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Believe it or not just because AI isn't there doesn't mean it's gonna be easier on the Heat. Now that Iverson is no longer on the picture, the ball is going to move around a lot more and now the Heat won't be worrying about one guy, instead they will have to worry about the whole team. The 76ers played some great defense but Miami just had a real poor shooting tonight missing on a lot of open looks. The 76ers thought that they could just double/triple team Shaq but then DJ came out and made em pay by splashing 3s all over the place. BTW these box scores are messed up. DJ is recorded as shooting 5-8 FG 5-8 3PT and 2-2 FTs but he had only 17pts?! NBA.com box score - http://www.nba.com/games/20041121/PHIMIA/boxscore.html BTW sweet sig and avy That NBA Girl

He shot 5-8 threes...which means that he shot 5-8 FG's, with the additional 2-pointers he took. If he didn't take any twos, which apparently he didn't, then he shot 5-8 FG's (all threes), which adds up to 15 points...then add the FT's, and you get 17.
