Austin Crosherre should have ben suspended for atleast 5 games, for running away
lol but in all seriousness the suspensions were jsut except Ben Wallace should have gotten some more
But im kinda exeited to see who will step up for the Pacers..Freddy Jones already had 31 last night even if that huge black guy beat the crpa out of him...he could be a budding star
oh and maybe we could see Darko a bit or the 5 games without Ben...GOODIE

The Pacers have cost themselves the season if these are the final suspensions being handed out. They just lost their three most valuable players for a quarter of the year and they don't have the pieces to replace them. The only chance they have is if the league allows the suspensions to be split up instead of having all three guys out at the same time.

Yeah but u see, if they were gonna suspend all the players who left bench, neither team would have a single player to play the next game. lol

    One thing I don't get.
Shouldn't all the players that left the bench when the initial incident of Artest/Ben erupted be suspended or fined as well?
They (the league) are only punishing a handful of players when almost everyone was involved.

You're not suppsoed to leave the bench area in the first place so actually, all of them should be fined, no matter what their roles were.

I remember a few years back when Stacey Augmon was suspended and fined for just standing at mid-court after someone from Portland elbowed Robert Horry in the face in the 2001 playoffs.

The only player that didn't go on the court was Tayshaun Prince.

These rulings seem fair I guess. The fans are equally, if not more, responsible then Ron Artest. He deserves the suspensions but O'Neal's should be somewhat reduced, I hope the Players Association makes a case against it and gets it cut down.

If David Stern wants to really show he's is serious about not "disgracing the NBA's reputation" then he should prosecute those stupid and idiotic Detriot fans that thought it was right to throw beer, popcorn and chairs at 6 and 7 footers.

I'm just glad that the Pistons have the Bobcats twice coming up [IMG]

Sucks for Pacer fans, I will be surprised If they make the post season.

This is unfair. I guess fans can affect a team more than players.

David Stern just sent a message to the league they are not going tolerate this type of behavior. There will likely be an appeal from the Player's Union, and we could see these suspensions reduced when all is said and done. However, the NBA is a business and their customers (the fans) are more important than the product (the players) on the court. It's a shame for the Pacer fans, because their team was having a great year and were the favorites in the East. This decision will have a huge impact on the landscape of the Eastern Conference. With the Pacers likely out of the post season, which team sneaks in to grab their spot?
