This guy, i believe, is another important piece of the team. I didnt notice that he was picked up by Twolves but it definitely is a good pick. If he can play like what he did in NO, wolve is in a good situation. Starting line up can be sam spree wally eddie and KG at C since Kandi sucks too much.
wow kg at center, too restrictive, kg flourishes in the high post area, where his offensive skills are put to the best use. if kg was at centre, he couldn't play his normal game, or he has to go outside during the offense, leaving the inside void of any offensive rebounders. griffin as far as im concerned, is better off producing from the bench. besides why ruin team chemistry when we are already a top 5 team? remember when tinkering with the line-up, dont just consider offensive production, keep in mind effort, defence, and most importantly intangibles are just as important too.
Eddie Griffen was a great addition and since he isnt a need for the Wolves if he was a bank or bust it wouldnt effect the Wolves to much. But the fact he has come out with the athletic ability he was draft for is great, so its a bonus for the T'Wolves. I would like him to see him develope in a solid, atheltic backup for Sprewell and soon take over his poistion when Sprewell leaves/retires. But as far as him starting now, I wouldnt rush it, especially if that requires KG to play center (not possible).
I someways it didnt matter if Eddie Griffin failed because not much was expected from him. But I think He definately feels a need that this Wolves team definately had last year. And going into this season, some more frontcourt points. The Wolves relied way to much last season on their backcourt/perimeter for point production, while they still rely& will continue to rely on what Cassell & Spree give you from the perimeter, having another frontcourt player who can score will make up for those inconsistent nights Spree or Cassell may have when their jumper isnt flowing. And the thing that makes Eddie Griffin's contributions so needed imo, is that he fits right in with the style the Wolves want to play. He is a bigbody, who is comfortable playing in the pick & roll situations. So its not a big adjustment for him or the Wolves, for Eddie to get his shots in Flip's style of play.
I feel like he's Joe Smith (Joe's a little better defensively) with 3-pt range. Sometimes he falls too in love with the 3-pt arc.

Well, KG at C may not be good after all. But i was thinking of the same when pheonix put Stoutamire from PF to C and its looking great for his team. Wouldn't it be better if u can draw away opponent's C to the perimeter and leave Griffin, hassel, and what not snatching for rebounds? But i admit KG is a bit too small for C. Of course, my list can not possibly be the starting line up, but this is something flip can do to play ysome mismatch.

KG is not good for Center. If anything he could be moved more towards SF, because that's what hes meant to play. But why move KG when hes already great at taht position. Believe me it's much better to add another player thats capable of starting to our bench. It gives us endless offensive weapons.
Griffin might be doing good for you guys, but he never will achieve the full potential that he was drafted for. With Houston, Griffin showed some nice shot-blocking and scoring skills, but he never will be able to lead a team in scoring and even rebounding. He is a small forward in a body too big for a small forward. Despite that, he still has the skills needed to be a good guy to have off the bench. Might be a time bomb waiting to explode anytime though; he's never been on good terms with the law.

I don't know what his deal is with the law, but he did say that he acknowledges that this is probably his last break in the league.

Frankly, I think of Griffin as a future Jayson Williams. Not that he isn't any good from a basketball standpoint though.
