<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"Dallas has no point guard, except for rookie Devin Harris, and Minnesota is suffering with a slowing Sam Cassell. The other main suitor (for Jason Kidd) probably will be Denver, which has exposed Kenyon Martin without an open-court point guard. Martin is small for a power forward. In a half-court game, he becomes pedestrian. General manager Kiki Vandeweghe is trying to lower expectations with the Nuggets slow out of the gate, saying the team has cap room again. But they'll need a Kidd-like player to get their value out of Martin and need a leader to get Carmelo Anthony to grow up."</div> Chicago Tribune Link: http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/se...tered.intercept
I would love to see Kidd in Denver also this probably will mean that Andre Miller will go to NJ if the trade happens.IMO a trade to NJ would be a good thing for Andre Miller as he could handle the ball more and this would mean more assists for him (remember the year in Cleveland which he averaged 11 apg)
I think Nuggets have enough cap room to take on Kidd's contract... Denver could run the 2 PG system.. it's a possibility for them to keep Miller too

I dont really know how they would workout a trade between the two because even if Denver gives up Miller & Nene a deal probably wont work unless Denver is that far under the cap where they can take on Kidd's salary without it working under the cap. I know they are under but by how much? Anyway from a player standpoint, it is a solid trade for the Nets, not that great but better then some offers, I have heard. They would get two young players, who are already proven in this league to a small degree but can still develope & grow long side Jefferson. So that makes the trade solid.
I'm not sure how possible this trade would be but I think it could benifit both teams well. The Nets couldnt really get much equal value if they made a trade with the Nuggets, but they could aquire depth and cap realeif. For a team that is rebuilding this doesnt seem like a bad idea. Getting Jason Kidd could be the missing peice to the puzzel for the Nuggets. It seems they are struggling to mesh, put Jason Kidd in this equation and you have a situation similar to the one they had in New Jersey the past few seasons, J-Kidd K-Mart and Melo would make a nice trio.
I predicted that Martin would be way less effective without Kidd. I think the only way Martin can work to the climax of his potential is if he has someone like Kidd around. Kidd might be a good fit for Denver but, who will they give up for Kidd. I doubt NJ will want to make a trade with a team that robbed them of their allstar PF.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I doubt NJ will want to make a trade with a team that robbed them of their allstar PF.</div> Are you sure about that? Remember that the Nuggets didnt sign Martin to Denver from Jersey, but sign and traded for Martin. This means that the Nets GM didnt have a problem with this deal therefore he doesnt feel the Nets were robbed in this deal.
Poor Earl Boykins...Just because he shorter than a 12 year old people don't take him seriously . If the Nuggets do this trade they would be huge chamionship contenders. That is if they get a decent SG to go with Kidd.
From what I have seen so far this season.. Kidd wouldn't be that great of an addition because you cant keep the ball out of Melo's hands.
This trade rumor has been floating around for quite some time now. However to the contrary of what many think, Denver does not have the cap space to trade Kidd for Andre Miller, the Collective Bargaining Agreement would rear it's ugly head and it simply wouldn't be possibly. However, alot of the rumors I heard initially we're comprised of a multiplayer trade, also involving draft picks. For instance, earlier in the year, following the rumor of Jason Kidd demanding a trade, I heard Jason Kidd and draft selections for Andre Miller, Nene Hilario, and Voshon Lenard. Now, the salaries match and would allow this transaction to occur, but here we are a few months later and Lenard is gone for the year leaving this particular deal dead in the water. I think if New Jersey does decide to pull the trigger on trading Jason Kidd to Denver it's going to have to involve more than just Andre Miller. Sure Kidd's health is in question, and his contract is of epic proportion, but he's still considered among the elite point guards in the league, if not the best. So, Given the fact that Denver has no first round selections, traded to New Jersey for Kenyon Martin, they would have to throw in some more prospects to get New Jersey to bite the bait. Thus a Nene, or a Boykins, or even a Tskitishvili would have to be included. Jason still fills the seats, so there has to be an incentive to dealing him off, for instance a core of young talent to build your team around...
I think that would be the best move since drafting Mello. Even though they got K-Mart in the offseason. Kidd would be the finishing touch to a lacking Nuggets team.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Steve Franchise:</div><div class="quote_post">I think that would be the best move since drafting Mello. Even though they got K-Mart in the offseason. And then you have Marcus Camby coming down the court, looking bewildered. Seriously, think about it, right now the Nugs are mainly a half-court team, but with Kidd this would all change.Given Camby's age and speed(?) he wouldn't be able to contribute on the offensive end no more. He isn't scoring right now neither, but I'm talking about offensive boards, kicking it out to the shooters, well they're few,but what the heck, setting picks, etc. I can't see Camby adjusting to a different playstyle. It would be an upgrade, Kidd for A.Miller, but with Kidd's knees and the chemistry,I would be doubting when I was Kiki.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MagicFan3:</div><div class="quote_post">Poor Earl Boykins...Just because he shorter than a 12 year old people don't take him seriously .</div> whos not taking boykins seriously? he gets murdered in the post because of his size, so he's pretty much going to be a back up pg beause of that...but there is no question he's a great point guard as for this trade i dont see it going down a bit after kidd's return (if it does go down). kidd is recovering from a pretty major surgury...whether he can come back and be as effective as he once was.
I guess Cassell and other players. If Kidd were to get traded I would get some nice young talent in return.

who many years you reckon Jkidd has got left in him? how good will he be when he eventually returns from the injury?

I'm sure NJ will not wan't Szczerbiak because of his contract.
