aaaand just when i thought i couldnt lose any more respect for him...VOILA!! vince is just annoying now. im just gonna avoid reading his comments to the media...they are obviously just going to annoy me. vince is about as dangerous as a light breeze. he'd worry about injuring himself fighting his way out of a wet paper bag.
i think this is sign of protest to the incessant jeering. though i think nike and all his other sponsors are probably have a panic attack over this. he's got to play aggresive especially when he's not hitting his jump shots, which probably entails dunking. anyways, this is infantile work to rule campaign should inspire coach mitchell to bench this dude.
k .. .this may be off topic but... on the Raptors.com page... was it always Rafer/Donyell/Rafael? or was it just recently changed?
Hopefully when HE COMES TO PORTLAND hell change his attitude. On portland he is a great fit. Portland has much more talent I think and Vince can rest easy.
Even players like Micheal Redd who is known for his shooting and scoring abilities is looking for open lanes to dunk. It's just so much easy then taking a fadeaway three or a floater in traffic. I guarantee that every NBA player that can dunk is always looking for an open lane to dunk, even if it isn't a showtime dunk. It's an easy 2 points. The only player I know of who is looking for an open lane so he can pull up and fadeaway from the basket in the open floor is Vince.
He's scared. That's the only conclusion I can come to. What kind of superstar trys to draw contact and shoot a lay-up, when he can do the same thing, and preform a dunk, which is a much higher % shot. It's the same thing! And you pump the crowd much more with a dunk! I honestly am having second thoughts of telling people that my favourite player is Vince anymore.
Ummm. I dont think he's scared. I'm pretty sure he's trying to protest still being in Toronto. He doesnt like the fans(and why should he there booing him). So that's his way of getting back at them. By denying them all what they want to see he gets back at everyone. The man is practically screaming,"trade me". He doesnt want to play on the Raptors and since hints didnt work, coming out in public didnt work he's decided to play like trash so that they finally will trade him. Just my two cents.
Ur mite be write but don't give the man an excuse. He just sucks. I thought he was gonna tear it apart, being healthy and all just like last March, but the man is washed up. Rite now Wince is a negative factor. They should trade Wince Carter cuz the man sux. Vince was a good player, but this Wince guy has slowly taken over Carter's body. Last year it was 50% Vince, 50% Wince, this year its all Wince. Trade this piece of shit for a solid contributor like Shareef. THis is babcocks chance to redeem himself after drafting thwe worst pick in the draft.
Dunking is overrated. Sure. But is scoring also overrated? He ain't doing that either! Look at what Grant Hill is doing, and then look at Vince. Grant doesn't dunk much anymore, but he's still taking good shots, averaging over 50% from the field, and getting over 20 points a game. Vince, on the other hand, is in love with those ridiculous 20 foot fadeaway jumpers. I really thinking Vince is purposely dogging it to force the organization to trade him.
with the "Jamison thread", i realized that the guy needs sum damn motivation... im about to propose a trade with artest (atleast we can xpect sum1 nxt year) and fred jones for carter..but i realized dat (i just wish) anytime now carter myt find his "MANTRA" and start playing like d devil has taken d form of a bball player.. DAMN IT CARTER !!!!! U NID TO GET YOURSELF UP, MAN!! i hope he uses his free tym reading msgs like this coz reading dat ppl still bliv in him myt get him pumped up...or better use his free tym to wor out and practice like hell.. hope he realy does take d raps deep t d playoff dat is if he stays..
I just think Vince needs a change of scenary to pick up his game. The media has a whole lot to do with Vince's frustration and maybe he needs to go to a city where he won't be as scrutenized as he is in Toronto. This 'no dunking' commment is just another example of how Vince is trying to fight back against them albeit stupidly. I mean how can you say that you can get fouled more going up for a layup than a dunk? Like I said before, Vince is the dumbest most talented player in the league.

Most of you probably know who Doug Smith is...and apparently, he was told by VC himself, that he was "joking" about his dunking comments made yesterday. Source: FAN 590 - Chuck Swirsky Show
Really, he was joking, I would've never known He already dunked on the break, and had a dunk on the Clippers, so unless he just decided to not dunk after the San Antonio game....

Vince has lost it. Maybe he's trying to lower his trade value cuz he wants to stay now? It sounds like a cry for help.
Air Canada has been grounded. The Raptors should still try and trade him while he's still got a lot of value.
The man was clearly joking because he had 3 dunks tonite (1 didn't count but it was off the hook), and the other two were really sweet. The man still has hops.
