Look at the rumors for today. It says Golden State are willing to trade Dunleavy and Chicago could be a suitor. The deal is for Center Eddy Curry.

I don't like this trade nor do I think it will happen but it's good to know Mullin may not be so crazy over Dunleavy.

The trade accomplishes nothing because Curry also fades away like Dunleavy and doesn't do what he's supposed to at that position. Curry can't get rebounds! Dunleavy can't shoot. But I suppose if Chicago wants that many Duke players all they'd have to do is get Brand back somehow.

I WOULD LOVE THIS TRADE! We need a big to play down low. Not only that, but Pietrus is the future at SF. Curry is a decent player. At least he showed some grit this off season and lost some weight. I watched him play the Clippers and he had 16pt 8reb in the 3rd quarter. This would be great since we dont have anyone to play down low. I doubt it is true though. Why would anyone want Dunleavy???

I suppose. I think Curry has more value to us than he does with the Chicago Bulls. How do we make that trade work first of all? We have to worry about him next season don't we?

Curry needs a change of scenery. Maybe GS could be a place for him to breakout.

I will still back my man. Dunleavy has made progress if you look back on the past two seasons. 9 games in and you are ready to cash it in.

Curry? Sounds good from afar but he's a guy who still does not understand how to play. He looked horrible against the Warriors. Lame.

Dunleavy at least knows what he's doing on the floor.

Only difference is he got more playing time when he didn't deserve it. Cardinal outplayed him by far and I think this year it's Pietrus's turn. I'm sorry Dunleavy was the most finished product out of college and he sure doesn't look like he's nba ready and wanting it bad enough to step up. If Dunleavy's goal is to miss open jump shots and choke at the free line and settle for way too many jumpshots like Jrich and Murphy, then we're in for a long season. I just think last game he didn't know what he was doing on the floor. I mean give it a rest Dunleavy, that 3 ball ain't going in. The whole team was like that and it doesn't help when he tries to do it like Jrich because he's not even as good as Jrich. And I'm not enthusiastic about Jrich now that his contract is just plain lousy, think of how it will be when Dunleavy gets 10 mil a year.

Dunleavy has not done crap this year. I mean, he had 4pts against the Bulls...

Overall, he hasn't done much from the 3 spot. He needs to be a 1 IMO, but for that you need Pietrus.

Dunleavy is better than Curry. Curry as I said before in many other posts is a huge maybe while Dunleavy is going to get better. Curry might even remain at the level he is. Curry isn't too good plating centers in the east. Imagine what will happen if he moves to the west.

The Warriors need another center, but I agree with mrj18. Curry isn't the answer. There aren't many players out there that do fit the bill, though, so we're kind of stuck.

With the emergence of Wilcox in clipperland.... perhaps we can throw those expiring contracts of robinsons and davis plus dunleavy at them for Elton Brand

Brand is someone who gets no respect from the Clippers and Bulls. Look at what he does. I would love Brand but yeah, we'll never get him. He is the ultimate power forward, he posts up, but gets a lot of points cleaning up underneath and rebounds in traffic. Why he would ever get traded just shows you how smart Krause was.

Krause traded him for 2 high lottery picks. At the time it looked like a great trade.

Actually it was just for one. They had one of those picks and traded with the clips for the #2 pick which was Tyson Chandler. The #4 pick was already theirs and they picked up Curry. Either way you look at it, Chicago got the shaft.

True. Elton Brand was elected by the Chicago Bulls in the first round (first pick overall) of the 1999 NBA Draft. Then he was traded by the Bulls to the Los Angeles Clippers for Brian Skinner and the draft rights to Tyson Chandler on 6/27/01. Tyson Chandler was hyped up to be the next Kevin Garnett or Rasheed Wallace I can't remember. I think Tyson Chandler was Garnett and Lamar Odom was Rasheed Wallace.

It was KG. And, many people believed it was a typical Clippers move. After 3 years, KG's rookie season still looks better than Chandler now...
