hmm i remember reading somewhere that he is suspended for remainder of the season and then there were brackets and said 73 games.....maybe he could if pacers make the playoffs....but he would be pretty rusty newyas
I think untill the appeals are done & delt with, there is no solid answer on this one. the suspension specified the remainder of the season, but didnt specifically say "including playoffs" but it is sure to come up during the appeal of the suspension. once that whole thing is settled we should have an answer as to Artests playoff availability
I heard his suspsension is the rest of the season or 73 games. When he wa ssuspended he said all I can do now is stay in shape and get ready for the playoffs because I have confidence my team will make it. I think he will be back for the playoffs.
So far Indiana has 2 wins and 3 losses so it looks like the have a good mix going on. They also pulled off that shocker over the T-Wolves last night.
Artest's Suspension - Playoff Suspension? I don't think they would suspend him for the playoffs because of a few things. To start off with, he did not act up in the playoffs, so you can't really suspend somebody from the playoffs if the incident didn't happen in it. Second, we do not know for sure if the Pacers will make the playoffs. We do not know for sure if Detroit (I first spelled it Detriot) will make the playoffs either (not saying they won't, but hey, anything can happen). What sense would it make to suspend someone from the playoffs if their team didn't even make it? And last, because David Stern may not be that much of a jack(donkey) as some of us may think. In summary, it doesn't seem right to suspend Ron Artest from the playoffs. (Okay, my comment about David Stern may have been a little bit weird, but it was the only other reason I could come up with.)
