Thus far he'd averaged 5.0 ppg, 2.6 apg and 2.1 rpg in an average of 21.2 minutes per contest</div> http://www.hoopsworld.com/article_10472.shtml :thumbsdow
I wonder how it is that some players get these freak accidents, whereas others stay healthy throughout their career. Jordan almost never got injured, despite all his contortions and collisions on the court. Same thing with Karl Malone. That always amazed me.
Disclocated Patella (knee cap), that is painful. I heard once you do it once though it is a rarity to happen again, that is a good thing. He has been better than I thought he would be, I think it wont slow his progress down much.

This was a concern before he was drafted that was noted by many scouts. If he doesn't start to put on some kind of weight, there is going to be little to nothing there to protect his frame from these kinds of injuries. I'd hate to see this guy become the next Penny Hardaway, he's that good.
He doesn't need to bulk up, but it's not certian he'll have injuries, first he might not have a body that can become big, and second you just need strengthining. Look at Rip Hamilton, they said the same thing about him, but he's still small, Livingston is very quick, and if he bulks up he might lose that, right now his height doesn't give him an disadvantage against other PG's due to quickness, but if he get's bigger it might be a problem. Anyways, we'll see how things happen, but that's 2 months, so he's out till about end of January to February

You can't see it but he is deceptively strong in pushin off screens and getting free. I think it is important for any player to get stronger, not necessarily get bigger but get stronger. It helps prevent injury and also gives you more of an advantage on offense and defense. I don't think Livingston needs to bulk up but he definitely needs to get stronger. There is no need for a 6'7 point guard if a 6'2 guard can push you off the block and outmuscle you.
Damn that sux, cause I'm going to the game where they play the Nets on Thursday and hoped to see him play...!!!! I hope he gets better.
