A better question is "Which GM is stupid enough to take 18.5 million/4 years off Bradley's remaining contract?" Bradley is a defensive liability and is incapable of playing more than 10 mins a game anymore. Didnt the mavs place them in the expansion draft roster as well? That said, the mavs may use him when playing zone-D and to give cheap fouls. He'll most likely play next season for the mavs before getting waived/bought out off his contract.

Heres a tidbit of information you might not have known:

Shawn Bradley is first on the 76ers all time foul list...
...while only playing 3 seasons with them.

No one will take him, unless their gm is on some kind of drug. We will just have to bear him for another 4 years i guess

HA! I doubt even Danny Ainge will take him. They must've definitely tried to pack him with the Raef-Walker trade. If only he gives Mark Blount/Big Al for Bradley, he'll be the dumbest GM in the league.

Shawn Bradley to Sacramento for Greg Ostertag, I can see that on the ESPN bottom line already...

Sad thing is Dallas still owes him 18.5 Million Dollars over the next four years, That's 2.4 Million Dollars per foot for Mr. 7-foot-7 Shawn Bradley.

[IMG] I wouldnt mind getting paid 2.4 per foot, I think i might be better skill-wise than him anyway. I'm with dee, I really dont care what we get in return.

[IMG] at some of these comments,
and [IMG] [IMG] at Bradley's career

You can't really get much for him. I think he should stay at Dallas. That way if the Mavericks go into OT they get Bradley for the tip to almost ensure first possesion in OT.

how wise to keep him just to win first possession in overtime when the guy has been the second biggest bust in history(sam bowie[IMG] ) i say just get him to the nova scotia midget AAA league and say that he was a midget that grew a bit out of control:D:mrgreen:[IMG]

[IMG] [IMG] It's a shame to me that we are talking about the second pick in the 1993 draft used just to win tip offs. He was supposed to be great. Shows what some scouts know [IMG]

For real. That's the greatness of the NBA. It's so unpredictable. You have players like Lewis and Boozer in the second round who are destined for greatness. While you have players like Olowokandi taken over Pierce, Bibby, Nowitzki, Carter, and Jamison.

I wouldnt consider Bradley a total bust unlike Olawakandi/Kwame Brown/Eddy Curry/ Chandler. Bradley is #12 all time on total blocks(2062) and #9 all time in blocks per game(2.96). That's quite an achievement for anyone to play in this league. He just hasnt played well in his current contract, which is no fault of his. Its the Mavs fault to offer him such a long and huge contract. I'm sure we'll say the same thing about Dampier 3 years from now!!

The players are not to blame for being busts. Its the GM and the scouts fault for picking them that high. It depends on what the team needs during the draft. In portland's case, they didnt need a guard during MJ's draft. Hence they picked Bowie.

Shawn Bradley's block per foul ratio isnt even 1:1, his carreer averages are 2.68 blocks and 3.20 fouls. 2,062 blocks and 2,441 personal fouls. This, in my mind, is what really counts. If you block a shot but then foul someone on the next play, they almost cancel each other out.
Bowie was only considered a bust because of what michael jordan did eventually. Hindsight is 20/20. Bowie was a decent player, and although he did not live up to his potential, half of the reason he is considered the biggest bust of the nba is because of jordan becoming the best player this league has ever seen.
