I would look into firing Paxon before Skiles.
Obviously, his long term plan of (Have a collection of talented teenagers that will devolop into a contender) has not worked.

Trust me, even if you bring back Phil Jackson, or hire Chuck Daly or Red Aurbach, Bulls will go no where with this core of players.

Jordan has a great basketball mind, however, the reason he would be a bad coach is the reason he was bad in his position with the Wizards..and thats the fact that Michael Jordan expects everyone to practice and approach the game like he did. While that is a good theory,it's not feasible..not everyone approaches the game, all out and balls to the wall like he did.

For emphasis just look at alot of his grievances against Kwame at the time and alot of his frustrations with Stackhouse(although alot of that had to do with gametime conflicts it also had to do with what I mentioned previous). Jordan expects everyone to practice with the same abandon he did and give 200% of themselves to the game, and for the most part that won't happen with a majority of the players today.
