Dennis Trammell/Patrick Sparks

Both Sparks and Trammell will be facing off at each other tonight. Trammell averaged 13 points a game last year, and will hope to come into Cincinnati tonight and try to blow through a very tough Kentucky defense. Sparks had 12 points last game along with 3 three pointers in a Kentucky win. These two sharp shooters will be taking a lot of shots, so be ready to see a very nice matchup.

6 Man To Watch For:
Ball State really won't have a 6 man, but Matt McCollom may give them some good minutes off the bench. He averaged 9 points a game last year in 24 minutes a game. Be ready to see Buckley use the bench.

Kentucky is in a similar situation; They have 3 or 4 people that will come off the bench, and give you good minutes. One guy that sticks out is Ramel Bradley. The guy can flat out play! Only a freshman, and could start on many teams out there. He'll give this Kentucky team a big spark off the bench.

Stat Predictions: Ball State
F 40 Terrance Chapman- 6 points 4 rebs
F 24 Skip Mills- 7 points 3 rebs
C 32 Anthony Kent- 4 points 6 rebs
G 12 Peyton Stovall- 12 points 2/5 3's
G 30 Dennis Trammell- 18 points 4/6 3's

Stat Predictions: Kentucky
F 44 Chuck Hayes- 10 points 8 rebs
F 24 Kelenna Azubuike- 22 points 6 rebs
C 33 Randolph Morris- 6 points 8 rebs
G 4 Rajon Rondo- 8 points 9 ast
G 22 Patrick Sparks- 16 points 3/6 3's

Prediction:
This will be a much tougher game for the Cats. Ball State is a much different team than Coppin; They'll be playing a lot of man to man, and will launch a lot of 3's. Kentucky will win it, but it will be a better game than much will think.

We pulled away at the end to get the 73-53 win. Patrick Sparks had another good game having 20 points to lead all scorers. Hayes put up another double-double, and the big guy, Alleyne scored a career high 10 points. Kelenna Azubuike had another off night scoring wise only putting up 6 points, but did have 7 rebounds to make up for that.

Now, let's head back home and play Georgia State Friday!

I've got to tell you, a 20 point win is impressive against Ball State. They're a mid-major, but they're no blowover. BTW - What's up with Kentucky playing all these cupcakes early on? [IMG]

I don't know, man. Now we get to go play the great Georgia State. Than after that, we get to play Tennessee Tech who will probably win the champioship...lol

Just wait a few more days when we have to go play North Carolina. It may get scary...
