i can understand why people may be thinking things about the fans......it wasnt all of uss however. But the main point i want to bring up is why people are saying they lost respect for the pistons? sure ben shoved ron....but thas about where the pistons take in this situation ended. So can any pacer fans or whu ever has no love for the pistons please tell me why this brawl makes u dislike or hate the pistons...thk u
LOL Isn't it common sense? lol they loss most of their players because of that brawl... They just hate pistons for that...
arrogance... honestly, do you think the fans would act that way in, lets say Phoenix. I doubt it, because the Pistons won the championship last year, they think they can bully whoever they want. I do respect some fans...but to me it looked like everyone on that side of the arena was in the mix...throw beer, popcorn, jesus christ even a CHAIR...
everyone saw how the pistons fans are on tv. thowing beer cups, popcorn, liquid, and yeah, the flying chair that OGmAXiFY mentioned. what a classless act...

They think they can bully other teams because they got a ray of hope. I hve never liked the Pistons, I respect them but I also loathe them. I am the same way with the fans. Throwing stuff is inexcusable.
The Pistons have nothing to do with how A COUPLE of Pistons fans act. And I don't think those fans thought they 'hey since we won the championship lets go throw things at players'. I think at that point any arena would have acyed the same way.I am not excusing what those morons did, but those of you who are saying they did it because they think they can bully ppl are wrong, and the blame should not go to the Pistons for what a couple of fans did.

The only real guy at fault in terms of Piston fans was the guy who threw the cup which got it all started.

Also, in addition to the initial cup thrower I would place some blame on those silly fans who went on the court. Although it was already out of control at that point, there was no need to escalte it. Maybe if they were man enough to admit they were wrong I wouldn't be so upset with them. But in the newspapers they say crap like "I have no idea what happened" "Where am I", etc. Bull.

Ben Wallace wasn't showing off that he can muscle with Artest 2. Piston players, like Ben Wallace, can accept that they were losing against Indiana. 3. Piston fans can react in a "class" manner and without throwing a cup to Artest. 4. The Pistons arena's security guards weren't eating donuts or sleeping or scared of the players and fans to stop them. 5. Artest didn't attack the fans. 6. The s2pid fan didnt' face Artest on the floor. That was pretty cool when he was knocked down by O'neal, he got what he wished for!!! 7. The fan use the chair as a chair, not as a flyin' chair. 8. The fans didn't pour beers and popcorns to the Pacer players exiting. 9. More... 10. More...

When the fans started throwing stuff It was clearly due to the fact they were defending each other after the Pacer players decided to attack people half their size. It's a shame Ron Artest couldn't have showed the same class as when Ben Wallace pushed him, he is not willing to fight Ben Wallace but is fine attacking Piston fans. Anyway this topic has been beat to death, It's over and everyone needs to move on.
wow! i can't believe that my response to you, AllNet, was deleted. don't know why but i guess a moderator can always delete what they don't want to see *sigh*. i was just trying to defend what i said and it got deleted... geez! movin' on...
Why do people hate the Pistons? Simple, they're the world champs and when you're the world champs you're bound to have haters. You were the best team last season and won it all, and fans who have different favourite teams seem to be gunning for your team, obviously. Being the defending champ is never easy, and being hated is just part of that. You have won a championship, at least show some class! That's all we haters expect, but the fans still think they can bully whoever opponent that comes into the Palace... because they think the Pistons are still the superior team? Time moves on, teams improve, you gotta respect other teams like T-Wolves, Spurs, and Pacers that come into your arena to compete... even if you're the world champs. And when the Pacers did on 19 Nov, the Pistons clearly didn't show respect for the Pacers, and esp. their fans. Respect=class, no respect=no class. Piston drunk blue-collar fans = no respect and loud.

Looked more like a MOB to me. Damn, those 2 Pistons fans move fast! Throw chairs, popcorn, bottles, punches, everywhere.

Look, if your going to play in the Nba YOUR going to get fouled, and when you get fouled your going to fou you hard, don't be a ***** and just take your free throw shots, I mean its not like your not going to get any points if you don't make the shot, it was a smart foul, he had a garentee'd 2 points and artest did the smart thing on the play I would have done the samething, Wallace blew it out of porportions when he pushed him and I think it is Wallace's fault and he shoud have had equal responcibility for setting an example to the fans and provoking the fight and he should have been suspended for more than 8 games or whatever, its ridiculous.

So for ya'll saying it's Ben's fault, you're saying that it's Ben's fault for pushing Artest, after he fouled him hard when his team was up 15 with 45 seconds to play? You're right, fouls like that do happen, and confronations happen like that as well, and it has never led to that ever before, so you're wrong there. So it's Ben's fault for what a moron in the stands did? Ben isn't responsible for a grown man's reaction. Plus, how is Artest going to be defended when he didn't know who did it?! He wouldn't hit Ben, but he was going to attack an innocent person half his size? He was wrong to go into the stands, especially since he didn't even know who did it. So, why is it Ben's fault again?
